Shullsburg over Randolph 13-12-great game burg got stuck with bad field position early in which one possession ending up in a saftey. They ended up fighting there way from behind with the turning point (in my opinion) being the Holland/Carrier hook and lateral. Overall a great game

Desoto over Belmont 15-7

BCC over Benton 41-6

Potosi over Rio 21-6

Any other game summaries would be great

The Shullsburg game was definitely crazy. We were down 12-0 a halftime, but kept battling and pulled out the win. We moved the ball really well in the first half, but had a number of penalties and mistakes. Randolph is a very tall team, its not wonder they are so damn good at basketball. Almost all of their starters were 6'3 or taller.

The Desoto vs. Belmont game went 4 overtimes...WOW!! That is a tough loss, and puts an end to a magical season for the Braves. Summary Please

I went to the Rio game. I know it wasn't pretty and the final point spread was only 15 points, but... I listened to two different post game radio shows and ya woulda thought Potosi got beat by 3 tds or something.

Potosi couldn't get anything going in the first quarter just like at Belmont. In the last 6 minutes of the second quarter though Potosi scored three straight times. I am fairly certain the defense held Rio to three straight 3 and outs, Rio was punting into the wind and the punts went nowhere. When Potosi kicked off after each score with Runde having the wind, he put them in the end zone. So basically, Rio started down deep in their own territory, got stone walled, and then had three poor punts, giving Potosi good field position. Potosi actually passed for a score plus got most of their yardage throwing in the second quarter! Something like 150 yards passing. In the second half Potosi had two passes picked, plus fumbled at the Rio 8 yard line. Even though they moved the ball, they didn't score again. Rio had two really good outside linebackers that really shut down the Potosi sweeps.

In the third quarter, Rio ran a weird kind of trap where they double teamed Sparrgrove with two pulling lineman, on the counter play, the Rio back facked out one guy and two other Potosi defenders fell down in the mud and the Rio RB went 60 yards untouched for their only score.

Potosi threatened one more time inside the Rio 25 but they threw a pick. Very late in the game, Rio tried to pass and Mish just buried their QB on a clean hit. He was motionless for quite some time before his team mates got him to the ambulance. (he had to be carried cause the ambulance got stuck in the mud) I hope he's okay.

well like you said we(belmont) went into 4 OT's it was crazy! they had a TON of holding calls, but for the summery we got the ball to start and we marched it 80 yards and scored on our first drive to start the game then it was a dead heat until our either 3rd or 4th drive when we ran a screen pass on our 10 yard line and they made a good read on it, picked it off and took it in for a sccore...it stayed that way until half...our D played out of our minds they had like one yard of total offense in the first half...then in the second half it stayed dead-locked neither team really moving the ball with the exception of a few of our drives then their last drive then got down to i think to 15-20 maybe but our D came thru again...the first over time we got the ball first and got a first then a 4th and 1 and in my opnion i think we got screwed on the spot of the ball and didnt convert it butt we held them...the second OT we started on D and i think thats when we blocked a field goal we then got the ball but i think we also had a field goal of ours blocked....3rd OT we didnt move the ball too well and neither did they....the 4th OT we had them to a 4th down and they converted then a few played later threw a TD pass to #17...we had a coverage mix up, then they got the 2pt conversion and on offense we ran a few times got to a 4th down and threw a pic....it was a crazy game and we got the bad end....not the way i wanted to end the season but i wish everyone else luck in the rest of the playoffs! see ya next year!
