If Lebron's vs the Magic in the playoffs last year was such dumb luck as you described it, then Kobe had God guide that one all the way to the bottom of the net. Holy dumb luck.

Haha, I just got home and turned the TV on. The first thing I see is Kobe bank that bullshit in and the people on SportsCenter quoting Bryant as saying it was the luckiest shot of his career. I just thought back to the man on his knees talking how LeBron's shot vs. the Magic was nothing but luck. Can't imagine what he thinks about this shot.

a lot more people than just KOBE has benefited from that rule...

I didn't say LeBron's shot was lucky, I said it was grossly overrated historically because ESPN was hyping it up saying it was the greatest buzzer beater ever & all that crap right after it happened when in reality, all it did was even the series at 1-1; a series that they would go on to get WORKED in. So, in the large picture, the shot really didn't matter. It just delayed the inevitable.

Kobe benefits from the absolutely idiotic NBA rule that advances the ball to the frontcourt after a timeout.

I wish they'd try that in other leagues...[]...I'm sure NFL offenses would love to gain 30 yards with every timeout. Perhaps the most ridiculous rule in sports, even moreso than the illegal contact penalty.

What a joke.

Same for me. I turned it on right when the Lakers were inbounding the ball. Then today I turn on the Cincy game right when Pike throws the 40 yd TD for the win [] Must be my lucky weekend.

He made the shot, though. Lucky or not, it was a crazy buzzer-beater.
