First off i just wanted to say congratulations to Jens Lantz on becoming only the 13th wrestler in state history to win 4 state titles. Lantz won by tech fall in the 2nd period over Sage Soppa of Abbotsford/Colby to capture his 4th state title and received a standing ovation from the sold-out Kohl Center crowd not once but twice. Also congratulations to Gable Frandsen who won his 2nd state title at 160lbs and Dennis Schutz who captured the title at 182lbs. Overall Ellsworth had 3 state champs, 1 runner-up and 2 6th place finishers. Huge congrats to Ellsworth on a great season and its not over yet. Good luck at team state and bring back a state title to E-Town.

Congrats to all the wrestlers who competed for individual crowns this past weekend. The MBC had a solid showing in Madison. Winning 4 state titles is truly remarkable and a testament to hard work. Good luck to Ellsworth at the team competition this upcoming weekend!
