On 1st and 10 right now, she's saying that Adam Jones situation is being overblown and where were all the cameras and ridicule when Matt Jones went to trial for drug possession and it's because Pacman is black that he's getting all this 'bad media'.

...now Skip Bayless said that black athletes need to stay away from strip clubs and bars late at night because 'a week doesn't go by that I hear another black athlete got into trouble being out that late.' Jemele's response was, 'that's a perception, not a reality.' []

This is why racism is still around, because of people like Jemele Hill.

People didn't make a big deal out of johnny jolly either...and he is black. People didn't make a big deal about Ahman Green and his problems...and he is black. The difference is neither of those guys got someone paralyzed in one of many of their scuffles and after a year suspension still have not learned anything.

Pac Man is an idiot, it has nothing to do with him being black.

How anyone can still stick up for this guy and try to make excuses for him is the real sign of ignorance. If Pac Man were white I'm sure Jemele would give two craps about him. If she is trying to pull the race card here, who is really the problem? ESPN always drums up this kind of crap though, I get sick of it. Former athletes or hosts trying to make excuses for these guys. Just be news people, report on it, regardless of color, and leave all of your stupid opinions and justifications to yourself. Just report the facts and let people make their own mind up. But then again, thats the whole idea of some of these shows is to drum up debate.

Apparently, Clinton Portis sparked the debate by saying people need to lay off Pacman and his suspension was unfair. I really liked Portis, he's a great running back in the prime of his career and I had a lot of respect for him, but not after he says something like that.

Clinton Portis has long been considered one of the biggest idiots in sports...where have you been?

Just listen to his "huntin's legal" defense of Michael Vick.

I was just going to say... Portis was one of the first to defend Vick's actions... even to the point of saying, "There's nothing wrong with dogfighting"

Portis is talented, for certain. But he's a Class-A idiot.

I've always hated her on 1st and 10. She never brings any good points to the table, and this isn't the first time I've heard her play the race card either its ridiculous. It'd be best if ESPN just fired her to be perfectly honest.

But then she'd really get to play the race card!

I am so sick of the NFL giving these morons like Pacman all these second and third chances! He is a poison towards the reputation of the NFL and what its players stand for. He clearly has no morale values toward authority and in my opinion should be banned from the NFL for life and for good this time! I know if I was a coach or a GM in the NFL, i would never want a player like Pacman on my team any day, no matter how talented he is.

As for Portis, how does anyone even try to defend a guy who used to let dogs fight to the death for entertainment and fun. To me that is just sick and wrong, mostly because I love dogs so much, but i believe almost everyone can agree with me on that subject. I just don't know why the NFL would want people like these guys playing in their leage. They clearly have very distorted views on what society believes is acceptable and what is not.

Just my opinion.
