It's a brave new world for the Packers and the ever important NFL draft is upon us!  IMO this is an important draft for the Packers.  Having had a few bad years of drafting and diminishing roster of talent with many holes to fill, though less after an active free agency (weird to actually say), what are your predictions for the Packers pick(s)!

With Gutekunst getting his first draft without TT lording over him, I think anything could happen.  I would not be surprised to see the Packers trading up, trading down, or staying put with their picks.

I predict that they stay put and pick:
12 - Devin Bush
30 - Noah Fant

I would love to see the Packers get Hockensen, but I imagine him being gone by #12.

Alright you prognosticators...predict away!

I saw something the other day that's a little mind-blowing (if 100% true, I didn't verify every single aspect of it).

Aaron Rodgers has only ever taken snaps with the Packers with five offensive former first-round picks lined up beside him.

Bryan Bulaga
Derek Sherrod
Cedric Benson
B.J. Raji
Julius Peppers

Two linemen, two defensive players used as gimmicks, and a cast-off RB from another organization.

I love the idea of a TE, I think the other pick needs to be a plug-and-play O-Lineman.

12- Jonah Williams(OT)
30- Johnathan Abram(S)

I just hope the pick isn't Rashan Gary at 12....There is something about him that doesn't intrigue me at all.  The Packers have a ton of needs, anything from OT, S, DT, ILB, TE works for me in round 1.

12  -  Andre Dillard(OT)
30  -  Jeffery Simmons(DT)

If Simmons wasn't hurt, I think he would have been gone before the Packers pick at #12.  Hoping he falls to them at #30.   Pick #12 hopefully will be the best offensive lineman on the board.  I think Jonah Williams is gone by then so I like Dillard but Jawaan Taylor would also work.

Arizona throws the whole night into a tizzy when they trade the #1 pick and then others are hurriedly maneuvering to move up or down to make sure they get their guy. I predict a ton of trades to get into the top 10 in round 1.

Packers trade #12 and move back 2-4 spots. They take a OT with their 1st selection tonight.

I would guess that both Bush and Fant are off the board before those spots.

I know you're a Michigan guy.  What are your thoughts on Gary? Thanks in advance for the answer...

Upside is huge.  So athletic.  I questioned his motor quite a bit during his time at Michigan.  He was double teamed so much and played with a bad shoulder his JR year.

But to be honest I don't think that when all is said and done you will be happy with the pick.  I don't think he'll be a pro bowler.  I think he will get his paycheck and retire after 5-7 years and focus on starting his agency.

Maybe the switch from DE to OLB will change things?

On the bright side, he's a high character, team first kind of guy.   So I wouldn't expect any drama from him.

And traded up to get a safety that probably would have been there later. At least Maryland S Darnell Savage seems like a player.

Last offensive skill position player taken by Green Bay in R1 was...Aaron Rodgers. The drought continues.

Agree NYYBBALL.  Unfortunately, they drafted Gary at #12. I suspect he's another 1st-rd DL/OLB bust.

Really like what Green Bay did on Draft Day 1 , I suspect Bush was the pick until Pittsburgh jumped up to select him and Gary was the fallback on potential alone with no need to start in 2019 . Savage at 21 was another no brainer potential pick based on the value Green Bay gave up for him .

Kudos to the upper management for not reaching for offense in round 1 with the looks like Tarzan plays like Jane supposed NFl gurus picks at wr and te .
