Why was the Tommie Gaston topic removed. There was no rumor mongering or anything on it. Just a link to the FACTS.

if you have been on the board for awhile (which you have) you will know that even when articles are written about players or coaches who have made bad decisions or done bad things it is our policy to remove them. we simply do not want our board to be a place for that stuff. occasionally we will allow a link to an article and lock the topic just so people stop starting topics on the subject.

I would think putting out actual information would halt all the topics asking for info and starting rumors.
I thought topics were only removed when posters got nasty or rumors were started.

6) No comments about personal matters. This includes posts about rumors ("I heard they got kicked off the team for ____"). This also includes posts about appearance of people such as "hottest guy in conference", etc.

This part works pretty well for me.

Without officials, it would just be recess!

There was no comment made about the situation. It was just a link to information.

Stop slitting hairs. It is a personal matter of Tommie's. Why can't you just leave it at that and let it go?

Look up the definition of comment. Seems clear to me.
This is why I won't let it go....I don't care if it's Tommie Gaston or Tommie Jones.

1. It's all fine and good for players to use the media to make themselves more famous or get their name out there.....but then the negative stuff needs to be ingnored or shoved under the rug? Seems a bit two-faced.

2. The type of actions listed on the WI Circuit Court site are uncalled for and anyone who performs such acts should get and deserves whatever comes to them.

Maybe I am a hard ass, but I think the world needs a few more hard asses as people can't seem to take care of themselves and make good decisions. I would think that with a screen name as "whistleblower" you would get it.

I'm done.

sportsfan, as much as I love a good debate (and this one has been good) it comes to a point where we're not going to be able to go any further. I do get it, as do you. Like you, the first thing I did when I heard something was up was check CCAP. Anyone can do it. Where you and I differ is that you think it is ok to drag a high school kid's dirty laundry through a public forum such as this, and I don't.

Thank you. I'm done too.

Call it cya, and I would do the same if I were the admin of the site. Anybody can sue for anything, and when it comes down to it, it isn't worth the hassle.
