Why does wissports not scrutinize the sources they get honor roll submissions from? wi-tf does a good job of trying to filter out fake marks like the aaron kidd 10.64 in the 100 or keith mcbride 21.44 200. The newest (and easily most obviously fake) is the new 110mhh state record holder Nick Geiger from mayville. I've been following hurdles for a long time and I have never heard of this Junior who ran 13.84, which would be one of the top times in the nation. Someone needs to report on the legitimacy of these marks and not be fooled by something so obviously fake.

It truly is amazing how often there are errors when Fully Automatic Timing is used. Can anyone explaine what causes the major mistakes like what is listed below????

The Aaron Kidd 100m time is a legitimate hand-timed wind-aided mark []. If you view "multiples" on the honor roll you will see that Aaron Kidd also has the 6th fastest time in the 100 and that time was not wind aided. In fact for nearly all of the meet it would have been into a good head wind. Sadly, it was still hand-timed. You really have to prove fast times like his with a second performance that legitimizes the first. The flaw in the system is that there is not and hasn't been any wind readings for honor roll times. Without wind readings even AUTO times could be unrealistic. People could run a few tenths faster with a good wind at their backs.

the gieger one has been corrected... it was a data entry typo... we have the mcbride time at 22.44... not sure what that one was about...

we have a script that alerts us of crazy out of whack results... like if someone entered a 100M time as 200M time but will have to come up with something where it's a typo but still in the realm of possibilities...

Karen Welsh from Shullsberg leads the state with a 12.9 according to the honor roll from the meet listed below. Do you see a problem. I see a few. Currently her honor roll time would put her on the world lists.
