I am positive Eric Stein and Jason Becker both scored over 40 in a game.
Other possibilities: Cory Kulig (Independence), Carey Osborne (Augusta), Ryan Sygulla (Whitehall), Scott Christopherson maybe (when he was still at Mel-Min).

The Jim Konkel scoring number is way too high (I assume these are VARSITY totals). He scored a lot of points, but that is way too high.

Jim Konkel's points total was what the wisbca.org website has, I'll look into it more to see if I can't find out if that was his actual total or not.

Since you mentioned that I went back and double checked my numbers and saw that I missed Jim Bade from Cochrane. Added him to the list and kept Konkel there until I can prove otherwise.

Playing for AC Lincoln in the '86-87 season, I'm pretty sure Jason Janke scored 40 or more vs. Alma. Not sure what records Lincoln has from that era, but he & Jack Stanley were big scorers and I know Janke had 40 a couple times.

Not sure if schools all keep this info but names that come to mind for Winningest coaches (definitely would have more than 100 wins):

Ken Stellphlug (sp?): Whitehall
Dick Rich: Cochrane-Fountain City
H Gregory Green: Alma
Jeff Crouse: Alma

Possibly over 100 wins but not sure:
Craig Baker: Cochrane-Fountain City
Cory Rud: Gilmanton

Sorry I have no numbers...just trying to come up with some names from the old days.

According to the Leader Telegram career points total Jim Konkel of Gilmanton did score 1896 in his career.

Added two more players to the Top Ten Career Scoring
Paul Halverson (Blair '56) - 1900 points, good enough for second on the list
Brett Ladsten (Blair-Taylor '15) - 1460 points, putting him at eighth

While searching on the Leader Telegram website I also found some 50 point games.
59 - Bob Bautch (Alma - 1959)
54 - Ralph Rasmuson (Whitehall - 1969)
53 - Glenn Stuve (Alma Center Lincoln - 1954)
52 - Melroy Kinney (Taylor - 1958)
51 - Bob Maule (Independence - 1956)
51 - Cory Kulig (Independence - 1993)
50 - Roland Moy (Gilmanton - 1954)
50 - Jarrod Lovette (Blair-Taylor - 1995)

Also found a website saying Ken Stellpflug had 369 career victories at Whitehall.

I understand that's what the LT says, but it's not accurate. Jim was a good basketball player, and I'm not trying to beat him up. However, if these things are going to be posted, I think they should be accurate.

This makes more sense to me, The Gilmanton School District has him at 1486. There are a few more 1000 point scorers here, too: https://www.facebook.com/gilmantonschools/photos/pb.131018773646452.-2207520000.1456679404./959105330837788/?type=3&theater

[huh] Using a facebook post without any actual evidence of how the point totals were fact checked , ECLT on the other hand likely has a paper trail . They could both be wrong .

I know Facebook isn't exactly "actual evidence" but I am saying that the 1486 the school district submitted to the WBCA Hall of Fame for the wall at JAG fieldhouse would make more sense to me. Yes, they both could be wrong as well as all of the other players that they submitted to the WBCA Hall of Fame. However, I GUARANTEE you that the ECLT does not have a paper trail that leads to 1896 points, and I will leave it at that.

I'd tend to believe the school supported and supplied info and numbers over the LT every day of the week. Unless I was supplied the LT " paper trail " I'll go with the school.

C-FC - 40-12
EC Immanuel - 21-3
