Green hurt; fullback changed; line settled

Green Bay -
Green Bay running back Ahman Green aggravated his injured hamstring in practice Friday which kept him out of practicing Saturday in the Don Hutson Center.

Coach Mike McCarthy said Green will be downgraded from probable to questionable to play Monday night at Philadelphia.

If Green can't play or is limited, the Packers plan to play Vernand Morency mostly on first and second downs and Noah Herron on third downs.

The Packers have also determined that Daryn Colledge, and not Jason Spitz, will start at left guard, and Tony Moll will start at right guard.

McCarthy said 12-year veteran fullback William Henderson will also not start. Instead, that duty goes to Brandon Miree, who was recently elevated from the practice squad. The Packers will have to look at their special teams needs to see if Henderson will even be activated for the Eagles game.

McCarthy said the decision to demote Henderson was one of the toughest he's had to make thus far in his head coaching tenure in Green Bay.

Total disrespect to Henderson, IMO, replace him with a guy who's never played in an NFL game? C'mon McCarthy, if you're gonna replace him, fine, but have some tact, and at least ease Miree into action.

If this Miree guy screws up ONCE, I'm going to flip shit....Henderson is the best at his position at every aspect. I wouldn't mind seeing what Vernand Morency is all about and I'm a fan of Daryn Colledge, he did pretty well last week.

david martin has been playing pretty good at fullback. even franks has done a decent job so the change isn't that dramatic in that sense. there are saftey nets if miree fails, that doesn't really bother me if it was an injury or something i wouldn't be concerned with him starting. its the henderson aspect, henderson is gettin no love and i don't like that. benching him is almost as hurtful for team spirit as bench favre.

I stated that wrong, I meant like....he's top 5 at his position in every skill that, that position must be able to do. Therefor he's very close to the best....It's unfortunate he's not more of a part of the Packers run game. He could be able to grind out the hard yards that Green, Morency, and Herron can't. He is also incredibly athletic....not to mention he's huge.
