So, Mel-Min and CFC both move north away from Aquinas....what a development. The next time we'll see a Mustang vs Blugold matchup will be in Green Bay. That will be fun!

unsure how that works, but it is terrific. Was too bad last year the loser of those 2 had to go home early, 2 great teams that will be better next year.

Waiting up north cameron, colfax, regis, fall creek, durand, elk mound, none of those teams are an easy out!

Mel-Min will beat any of those teams by 20+ next year. No disrespect, but the Mustangs are that good.

Mel-Min would be my pick to win the Sectional as well; however, I don't think it will be quite that easy. They almost didn't make it to the Sectionals this past season...took a heckuva comeback to win the Regional. Is Schlosser back for Durand or did she graduate?

Schlosser will graduate in a couple weeks. Big loss for Durand. But they will return a lot of tournament experience.

Mel-Min will definitely have a legit shot at going to Green Bay next year. Their run is doable, but there are a number of quality teams that could knock them off. with an off night. Durand losses a lot, but Elk Mound will be strong again and don't count out C-FC. I felt last season that Aquinas was the only team standing in their way to a trip to state (providing they survived against CFC first). Looking ahead you still have CFC, but you also have some good teams in Durand, Elk Mound, Regis, and Cameron.

Aquinas doesn't have a cake walk either, but they will return to Green Bay. Cuba City could surprise some people this year. I am hearing rumors that Aquinas will have another D1 player on their roster next year. Only time will tell...

When would a potential Mel-Min vs. Aquinas match up take place? State Semi finals or Championship?

Good question on a possible Mel-Min vs Aquinas game....I don't know, but assume they will not match up the 2 sectionals from western WI against each other, so would expect this would be the state finals.

Mel Min has size, shooting, post play, ball handling, rebounding. Nobody in the sectional to the north will be able to match up with them. Their loss to Aquinas in the sectional last year also gave them much needed experience in a crazy atmosphere, so that won't rattle them either. I thought Aquinas would pressure them into submission in that matchup, but Mel-Min handled it very well for such a young team, Aquinas couldn't turn them over like they did to everyone else. I'm not a Mel-Min guy, but I have seen them play and they will be very, very good.

Super-exciting Sectional that will include Mel-Min & CFC with the group you mention. That will be fun to watch.
