Payback can be a ... head-scratcher!

Baraboo defeated Waunakee 71-44 three weeks ago at Baraboo. Tonight, the Thunderbirds traveled to Waunakee and fell victim to the Warriors, 40-28. This, on the heels of Waunakee being dismantled, 63-33, at Marshfield this past Saturday.

Did Waunakee suddenly learn how to play defense almost overnight? Go Figure ....[huh]

Well, Jada Dayne (daughter of Ron) wasn't in the lineup for the Warriors when they met at Baraboo. She was in the lineup in Waunakee and chipped in with 8 points and a good amount of rebounding and defense. The head-scratching part lies in the fact that Josie Schaefer and Caroline Zimmerman scored a combined 43 points in the first meeting and were held to just 3 between them when they journeyed to Waunakee. Weird stuff.

By all accounts, Northland Lutheran is that bad, before the "running up the score" comments begin.
