Itd be nice to see more active members on here, especially for the basketball season. It should be a great season. Lets talk FVA basketball...

Here is how I think the standings will play out by the end of the season (I know its early). I would like to give my reasoning later.

1. Oshkosh North
2. Kaukauna
3. Appleton East
4. Kimberly
5. Neenah
6. Oshkosh West
7. Appleton West
8. Fond du Lac
9. Menasha
10. Appleton North

I believe the top spot is up for grabs between the top four teams I have listed.

Nice list, I would only change it by swapping Appleton West and Neenah and Also I will move menasha up to the # 8 spot. Their team played well last year and looked pretty good this summer. Appleton West returns three starters and has beaten Neenah and O west last year. Those two teams have lost more starters. I also agree its a crap shoot as to who wins it this year.

Yea you have a point with Levandowski returning. I just heard over the summer that Neenah has been making some great strides. I gave Onorth the edge considering they won the FVA a year ago and Wara is back, but I too really believe Appleton East, Kimberly or Kaukauna can compete for that top spot. If I had to change anything from my list before it would be the Neenah/Awest switch and I would also switch up AEast/Kaukauna.

Big Apple Classic
Appleton North 47, Xavier 42
Appleton East 67, FVL 57

Both FVA teams come up with solid wins. Two more games left to go in the Big Apple Classic on Saturday. East plays Xavier and North plays FVL.

Looks like it could be a long year for Appleton North and Oshkosh West.

Looked like it was going to be a long year for A West as well until they beat Kimberly Friday night in double overtime. Dropping games to East, Neenah, and O-West by less then 9 combined points after being ahead by double digits in each of those games let you now they were close. Now it looks like their coach has a winning line-up that has Seniors Schultz and Resop finally starting and playing most of the game along with Levandoski, Reker and Neuman. Let hope they continue this and really start to shake things up in the FVA.
