Not trying to start any fueds... but maybe the FVA isnt as great as everyone thinks. With ON losing to a 6 seed and neenah barely beating the 10 seed. I know OW is prolly going to state but just something to think about. maybe kimberly can turn some major tides and win twice in the arena. Anyones thoughts are welcome.

Do I have to say this again. Sheb. North (#2 FRVC) over Osh. North (#4 FVA) wasn't that big of an upset. O North lost 4 out of their last 6 FVA games, hardly a strong finish. They have been overrated all year in my opinion. It wasn't a shocker when I heard Sheb. North won.

Neenah barely beat Sheb. South? 5 points is good enough for me, considering it takes 1 to win the game. If you have payed attention to Neenah at all this year you know that they play to they level of their opponent in most games. They have beaten A East twice, Beat O West at home and took them into overtime on the road. This same team only beat Menasha by 2 on a last second shot in OT and only beat Fondy by 3 in OT. This team can play very good or very bad.

O West is not invincible this year, they lost twice. Granted they were both on the road, but they still lost. I think from now on any team has a shot at them.

I'm rooting for Kimberly, but I don't see them getting past Ash., they have been on a roll.

Wow........here, I'll post this again: These are the two sectionals that the Bay, FRVC, and FRVC are in. You may notice a trend.

Sectional Champions:
State Tournament Appearance:
2006: Oshkosh West, Ashwaubenon
2005: Wisconsin Rapids, Kimberly
2004: Fond Du Lac, Kimberly
2003: Fond Du Lac, Appleton West
2002: Fond Du Lac, Appleton West
2001: Oshkosh West, Kaukauna
2000: Neenah, Green Bay East

I believe I see a trend.

top-to-bottom the FVA is probably the strongest in the state. proven by the "anyone can win on a given night" statemnts earlier, now talent wise you'll get a very good arguement from the City Conference but uit is very top-heavy. and the other conferences like FRVC and the Bay just can't match up top-to-bottom with the FVA. last year being a prime example where the 2nd to last place team made it to the sectional final, and lost to another FVA team (fondy Vs. O-West)

Go Cubs Go.

Your opinion of me is none of my business.

We've heard you say it a million times, and just accept the fact that FRVC can run with the FVA better this year, then is past years.

defending state champions oshkosh west
appleton east(ranked top 10 dont know off hand)beat by kimberly a struggling team only proving how deep the fva is
we send more of our teams to state
the fact that top ranked west can lose to neenah and then neenah only beats last ranked menasha by 2 in OT shows that on any given night there can be an upset
please stop starting all of these threads on our mesage board i took a look and it seems you post on here more than you do on your board

fva is better hands down

If Neenah loses to Sheboygan North and Kimberly doesn't go to state, I'd be willing to say that maybe the FVA is overrated this year.
Never settle for anything less than what you're capable of.

If recently means all the way back to 1970, then you are right. Only 2 state tournament game appearances for the FRVC. 15 total for the FVA.

Burned again guy. [:-]

In my opinion...
If Sheboygan North beats Neenah and O West, and Kimberly loses to Ash the FVA is overrated this year.

This should end this topic...

Teams at D1 State:
FVA-2
FRVC and Bay COMBINED- 0

I'll take two teams at state in a supposed "bad year" for the FVA.
