I'd be willing to bet it will be harder to find good kickers and punters with the increased popularity of soccer across the country. It is getting to be harder to convince kids to walk off the pitch and put on pads to kick a ball.

Didn't take me long to switch.

There's definitely more opportunity for moving on to the next level as a kicker than as a soccer player.

You are not smarter than your favorite team's upper management, so stop trying to be.

Yeah, if anything nowadays, there are more and more soccer players either pulling double duty as kickers or switching sports altogether.

the longer this season goes, the more and more apparent it becomes that Frost is not a good punter. 35 yd net average in a game where field position is so important. Even Larry McCarren is starting to get on his case.

How long until TT cuts this guy and admits his mistake?

Somebody needs to be the "sacrificial lamb" after this debacle, and I can't think of a better person than Frost...might put a little added motivation into the team.

Probably the same time that Al Davis admits he cannot run the Raiders any more. []

Looks like its ready to finally happen. From MM press conf

Derrick Frost will be released today. The Packers don't even have a replacement ready. That's how bad they want him out.

McCarthy didn't want to say whether releasing Jon Ryan was a mistake. "I don't want to go there."

Has MM ever admitted to a mistake? He always pulls the "I don't want to go there" schtick. I absolutely hate his press conferences and don't bother to watch them any longer.

Maybe this will light a little fire under the team's rear!

Probably a job security issue. I'm not gonna go public with, "yeah my boss screwed this one up" either. I'm sure he had some input, but I would say this is TT's area.

You're probably right, although I thought those two worked together fairly closely when deciding on personel...
