New Lisbon 0-1 1-1
Cashton 0-1 1-1
Wonewoc-Center 0-1 0-2

Games This Week. All games start at 7.
Hillsboro @ Brookwood - Looking for Hillsboro to run away with this one, they were pretty fast against NL last week.
New Lisbon @ Bangor - Bangor is looking good early on, I don't see them losing here (but as a NL alum, I'm hoping for the upset).
Wonewoc-Center @ Cashton - Early indications tell me that Cashton should win.
Royall @ Necedah - Royall looks good early, but they'll be facing a tough test in Necedah. The Cards are likely fired up after that close loss to Bangor last week. Going to go with Necedah here.
I will not apologize for being awesome.

Finals from Last Night
Bangor escapes an upset at home against New Lisbon 32-28, scoring the winning TD with 14 seconds left.
Necedah gets back on track with a 33-8 win over Royall.
Cashton pounded Wonewoc-Center 42-8.
Hillsboro skunked Brookwood 36-0.

Next week's games.
Necedah @ Brookwood. Necedah likely picks up another win here.
Bangor @ Royall. Will Bangor need last-second heroics again? Can Royall bounce back? Looking for a Bangor win here.
Hillsboro @ Wonewoc-Center. Hillsboro will win here to keep their winning streak going.
Cashton @ New Lisbon. Tough game to read here, as Cashton has been inconsistant from the looks of it, and New Lisbon is hanging tough with some tough teams. Gonna go for New Lisbon with the upset (and admitted homer pick).
I will not apologize for being awesome.

Last Night's Scores:
Necedah 34, Hillsboro 16
Bangor 69, Wonewoc-Center 28
Cashton 38, Brookwood 6
New Lisbon 34, Royall 26

Well, as long as the qualifications for playoff eligibility are the same, then Bangor qualified last night with their big win. Necedah and Hillsboro each need one win to qualify, New Lisbon and Cashton each need two wins, and Royall and Brookwood each need 3 wins. Wonewoc-Center is eliminated from contention.

Next week's games:
Necedah @ New Lisbon - Huge rivalry game, and New Lisbon has pulled off the upset before, if they can keep it close, they have a good shot. Should be a good game.
Bangor @ Brookwood - Bangor likely keeps cruising.
Cashton @ Hillsboro - Hillsboro gets back on track.
Royall @ Wonewoc-Center - I think Royall pulls off the victory here.
I will not apologize for being awesome.

Royall 2-3 3-3
Brookwood 1-4 1-5
Wonewoc-Center 0-5 0-6

This week's scores
New Lisbon 18, Necedah 13 - Game of the night as far as I can tell, New Lisbon got the ball with about 2 minutes left and no timeouts, drove it 75 yards for the go-ahead score.
Bangor 48, Brookwood 26
Hillsboro 40, Cashton 16
Royall 40, Wonewoc-Center 14

Playoff Update.
Hillsboro joins Bangor in qualifying tonight with their victory. New Lisbon and Necedah each need one more win to qualify, which I think both should be able to cover that. Cashton needs two more wins yet, and could pull it off. Royall also needs two more wins. Brookwood joins Wonewoc-Center in the "knocked out of contention" group. The next two weeks should be very interesting.

Next week's games.
Wonewoc-Center @ Necedah. The Cardinals will likely not be very happy, I suspect they'll take out their agression on W-C to the tune of a 40 point victory.
Cashton @ Bangor. I believe a win here clinches at least a share of the conference title for Bangor, and I think they'll get it.
Hillsboro @ Royall. Royall will be game, but I think Hillsboro will get the win here.
Brookwood @ New Lisbon. New Lisbon's riding high after that Homecoming upset of Necedah, they'll keep it up against the Falcons and qualify for the playoffs.
I will not apologize for being awesome.

Royall 2-4 3-4
Brookwood 1-5 1-6
Wonewoc-Center 0-6 0-7

This Week's Scores
New Lisbon 22, Brookwood 21 - New Lisbon actually led the whole game, but needed a huge defensive stop in the final couple of minutes to secure the victory.
Bangor 44, Cashton 7
Hillsboro 36, Royall 28 - Sounds like Royall gave the Tigers a pretty good scare.
Necedah 54, Wonewoc-Center 14 - Not too surprised with this or the Bangor score.

Playoff Report
Bangor, Hillsboro, New Lisbon and Necedah have all qualified. While all four should make it, with there being only 8 games this year, a large log jam of qualifying teams could knock some out, gonna have to see what happens there. Bangor and Hillsboro shouldn't be in any danger of missing out, but New Lisbon and Necedah will need to win next week to secure spots, but then again, maybe I'm just overthinking this, not impossible. All other teams in the SBC have been eliminated from contention. Bangor earned a share of the SBC Title this week.

Next Week's Games
New Lisbon @ Wonewoc-Center - The Rockets should come away with a win here, but considering how close they've been keeping games this year, I don't expect a winning margin of more than 10 points.
Necedah @ Cashton - The Cardinals should win in impressive fashion here.
Royall @ Brookwood - I fully expect the Panthers to win here, an overall .500 record would be a good accomplishment for them, and a step in the right direction.
Bangor @ Hillsboro - I expect this to be the game of the week here, Bangor is fighting for the outright conference title, but Hillsboro wants a piece of that pie, this will be a close one, I'll take Bangor by 6 points, creating a three way tie for second.
I will not apologize for being awesome.

Brookwood 1-6 1-7
Wonewoc-Center 0-7 0-8

New Lisbon 40, Wonewoc-Center 16. Pretty much what I expected here, W-C didn't quit, and managed to outscore New Lisbon in the second half.
Bangor 51, Hillsboro 32. Figured this one would be a bit closer, but it looks like Bangor ran away with it in the second half, and snagged another conference title, congrats to the Champs!
Necedah 55, Cashton 21. This created a three way tie for second, can't wait to see how the seedings come out here.
Royall 22, Brookwood 14. Royall ends their season on a good note, they came up one win short of the playoffs, but finished with a .500 overall record, and have some solid things to work on and with for next year.

Playoff report.
Bangor, with their undefeated record, have a good case for a #1 seed, but I could just as easily see them coming away from tomorrow's seeding meeting with a #2 or #3 seed in D6.
Hillsboro has a good case for a home game in their D7 bracket, but I could see them getting anywhere from a #3 to a #6 seed. All depends on who all joins them.
New Lisbon is pretty much in the same boat as Hillsboro, BUT, they hold victories over Necedah and Ridge and Valley co-Conference champion Kickapoo/LaFarge, which could give them a BIG edge in securing a home game, so I project them as a #3 or #4 seed.
Necedah. Their loss to New Lisbon could hurt them in their D6 seeding, and land them a road trip, but, they could just as easily get a home game, I'll project them as a #4 or #5 seed.

Good luck to all SBC teams in the playoffs!
I will not apologize for being awesome.

Just from what I've been hearing so far, we have Necedah as a #4 hosting #5 Fennimore, New Lisbon as a #6 (really?) traveling to #3 Cochrane/Fountain City (way off there), and Hillsboro as a #2 seed (which I really don't get) hosting somebody. #2 Bangor hosts #7 Kickapoo/Lafarge.

Full schedule for SBC Playoff teams:
Friday night, D7.
#6 New Lisbon @ #3 Cochrane-Fountain City, 7pm. I know pretty much nothing about CFC, but sure hope New Lisbon can beat them, these kids have been playing with a lot of heart in their current 5 game winning streak.
#7 DeSoto @ #2 Hillsboro, 7pm. DeSoto's having a down year from the looks of it, I'm looking for Hillsboro to win here.

Saturday, D6.
#7 Kickapoo/LaFarge @ #2 Bangor, 2pm. Bangor should beat the Predators.
#5 Fennimore @ #4 Necedah, 7pm. Fennimore is solid, so is Necedah. Necedah has had varying degrees of good and bad luck against teams from that area, too close to call here, although I'm giving an edge to Fennimore.
I will not apologize for being awesome.
