I actually read an article yesterday where Orr was explaining himself. Apparently those pictures are from like middle school or early high school (I forgot which one). They were actually taken to promote his rap group, Collect Money Cartel (now called Merk Boys). Haha, the rap group name doesn't sound too innocent either, but whatever.

?I would like to apologize to the Gator Nation for these crazy accusations and the situation I?ve put myself in to be viewed as such a thing, which is completely untrue, while representing the University of Florida,? Orr said. ?I want to let them know, I?ve grown up and been around violence and drugs all my life. I would never jeopardize the chance to better my living standards.?

has anyone else noticed a down hill slide in personal Charactor from Gators players/recruits over the past year or so?
A Playoff will not be any more fair than the BCS.
No matter what happens, Favre > Rodgers.
St. Louis Cardinals = Class of MLB.

looks like he's got about 25 dollars and a bb gun. it's things like that make it hard for me to listen to rap. a bunch of kids talking and acting hard without any idea of what they are doing/perpetrating. the merk boys, merk=murder. i'm sure those boys are hardened killers that would make john gotti quake in his shoes.

then he really is an idiot. if he did grow up around this stuff (i'm not saying he didn't) and he's still interesting in pretending to be hard, then i don't know what to say. if he grew up around this stuff, you'd think he'd know better than to go around acting like that. acting like that attract's all sorts of the wrong kind of attention, he shouldn't act like that unless he plans on getting shot and/or spending the next 25 years in cell. whatever, he's the U of Florida's problem now.

Actually, I think it's the exact opposite of that.

You are not smarter than your favorite team's upper management, so stop trying to be.

yeah, if you're not smart. if you have eyes and take in what's going on around you, then you see what happens to these gangbangers and you try not to keep yourself out of it. i understand that with rap the whole street gangster style has become popular, and you get kids that act like gangbangers when they're not, but it's stupid. acting like that, whether you're a gangster or just some kid playing gangster, is an easy way to get yourself killed. growing up around that, you'd see that and think to yourself "gee, j-roll possed with a 9 and a couple hundred dollars cash, two days later he was shot dead for whatever reason, maybe it's a bad idea for me to pose with a 9mm and 40 bucks."

i think i'm overreacting and taking this a little too personally, i hate when kids act like that. there's a difference between a real gangster, career criminal and a bunch of idiots acting hard trying to be rap stars. it's a stupid thing to emulate and if you spend more than 5 minutes with real criminals you'll see that it ain't cool, it ain't hip and it ain't fun. it's nothing but fear and death. football player with a bright future might throw his life away because he thought it'd be cool to act like a thug.

You don't really know what he's been through where he grew up. For all you know, he could have been standing at the corner dishing out rocks to people until someone screwed his head on straight (after the pictures were taken, since it was multiple years ago). I'm not going to go around and say he was bullshitting himself being hard because none of us truly know nothing about the kid other than he grew up around drugs and violence.

it's possible, he said it was for his rap group but that could be a smart cover. all i'm saying is that if you're not a gangster, you're a moron if you go around acting like one.
