Great 2013 season, if the playoffs went another week it would be fun to see the D1, D2, and D3 square off for a large school champion and maybe D4-D7 for a small school champion.

Here is my final big school rankings:

1         Kimberly
2         Arrowhead
3         WW
4         MG
5         CMH
6         Greendale
7         Franklin
8         Logan
9         Hudson
10         Kenosha Indian Trail

Anybody missed here? Should Franklin be higher? Oshkosh North losing by 41 at state knocked them out of Top 10 for me.

I'm not going to spend a lot of time thinking about this, but probably take out Logan and KIT. Probably bump MG and CMH down. I would think you'd have to seriously consider Homestead, Oshkosh North and Menasha. I think you'd also have to think about Mukwonago. They don't make the top 10, but if I were extending it to top 20, Germantown and Cedarburg would be almost locks, IMO.

Did you watch the D2 Championship game? Waiting for the D1 game I thought this was a great game til half. A 14-10 ballgame at half extended to a 35-10 lead at the start of the 4th qtr. How many of the North players wanted to play after watching two of their friends carted off of the field in ambulances? Both turned out to be life-threatening injuries. Did you see the North players and coaches crying on the field? Two of their best defensive players were wiped out on one play. Doesn't make a difference what the final score was. Kimberly was by far the best team in the state!

Franklin should be higher. Holman should be included.

Kimberly
Arrowhead
MG
Franklin
Oshkosh North
Greendale
WW
Holman
Homestead
Menasha

Funny but probably more accurate if it was listed as
1 Kimberly
2 Kimberly's 2nd team
3 Kimberly's 3rd string
4 Kimberly's JV team
5 Kimberly's freshmen team
6 Kimberly class of 2018
7 Kimberly class of 2019
8 Kimberly class of 2020
9 Kimberly class of 2021
10 Ditka - or mini Ditka

Tyson10 - Just out of curiosity, where did you hear those were life threatening injuries? I just read one was treated for a leg injury and one for a stinger/possible concussion. From what i heard, both are expected to be fine in the end. Don't get me wrong...it was horrible to see them injured and lying on the turf, nobody likes to see that and my prayers went to them. I'm just not sure where you heard they were life threatening.

Check out the oshkosh north football Facebook page. One of the players broke his neck and surgery was performed Saturday morning to fuse several vertebrae together. He was just able to return home today. That is a far cry from tenderness in the neck that was reported and the trip in the ambulance for precautionary measures. Apparently he could not feel or move either arm on the field. The other player had such severe swelling in the leg that the medical technicians were afraid that circulation to other parts of the body would be affected causing a much worse result. It originally was reported as a broken leg. The neck injury was downplayed during that game but the coaches and players knew what was going on, it is evident from their reaction.

However, within time both players will make a full recovery, but they both are very lucky.
