I am pretty sure that he'll be back next year so all bet's are off on the records as it is a forgone conclusion that he'll break all the records (the good and the not so good).

I don't think he'll break the TD record this weekend but he should break it by the end of the season.

Favre will get all the records if he returns next year, and frankly no one will beat tham after that. The NFL is getting stronger and faster, and more injuries are happening every year. Basicly no one else will be able to play long enough to beat his records, which is fine by me.

On a side note, I'm hoping that Manning and Brady both miss a game in the next year, as they are both only 120 some games away from THAT record...lol
The Brewers will finish 90-72 and earn the #1 WC berth.

Carlos Gomez will have a 30/40 season (HR/SB) and win a 2nd Gold Glove en route to an All Star selection.

Doesn't matter. Marino was still better. Let Favre have the records, Marino has the Super Bow----ugh. []

Marino > Favre.

I wouldn't go pinning the whole "No Super Bowl" thing on Peyton Manning. Granted he hasn't played the best in the playoffs in years past but don't forget he has won all these games by himself w/ no running game. Great WR's or not, Peyton puts the ball where it needs to be and doesn't have a 25 carry a game running back to lean on.

Manning has had Edge in the past and Addai has been solid, so to say why they haven't won the Super Bowl is because of the running game isn't true. The reason the Colts haven't, aren't and won't go to the Super Bowl is because of their defense.

I can't believe I left out his defense. I just don't like how it is instantly Peyton Manning's fault that he has never won a Super Bowl.

As for the running game. Edgerrin James was decent and Addai is still young. Neither of them were/have been to this point a 25 carries for 145 yards and 2 touchdown backs. They are both about 10-15 carries for 60 yards and maybe 1 touchdown. Not exactly how it's supposed to go.

Yeah, but there are only about 3 or 4 backs that can consistently go for 25 carries and 145 yards. LJ, LT, Gore, and I can't think of any one else, maybe Portis when he's healthy. Didn't Edge have 1800 yards one year? I know that this year he is nowhere near that level, but it isn't all his fault.

Yet won't pass him in the Super Bowl win category.

If he stays healthy, and I wonder how Peyton would fair without Marvin Harrison as a security blanket. Favre never had a Hall of Fame WR.

He did play with someone who would have been a Hall of Fame WR and would have went down as one of the best WR's ever in Sterling Sharpe. Stupid injuries.

i don't care if brady or manning break the passing records that favre sets even though i do think favre was better in his prime than those two are. i just don't want anyone to break the consecutive games record because that just shows heart and determination. i believe favre is definitely the king is that category. he has played through countless injuries and he played right after his dad died. i'm pretty sure that says it all.
