Is Ellsworth Boys sports on the up? We know they have been successful at wrestling, but could it be that they are turning the corner and will rise up from the bottom at other sports. They have some pretty good athletes, heck of a baseball season, good start to football, lots of players returning for basketball with some skills, and again lots of players for baseball. It will be an interesting year. What are your thoughts?

I think that there is a change in the overall attitude/effort of athletes and the Ellsworth supporters... It does help to have some talented classes come thru but I remember when I moved to this town from southern Wisconsin I was very dissapointed with some of the effort in certain areas of our programs.. without calling poeple out I will leave it at that... But I have noticed a gradual change for the positive the last couple of years.. I think with change comes renewed interest in sports and the emphasis on youth development has increased in certain circles... My first year living in Ellsworth the basketball team won 1 game and the football team didn;t win any,... It was an ugly scene... The landscape is starting to change in athletics I just hope the changes last and are long term.

The classes that are now beginning to become the upperclassmen have been looked at as talented classes. There have been many classes in the past that have had this talent but other sports have pulled them away. Thankfully The kids in these classes have stuck to it and worked hard at getting better. Lets just hope that they can stick with it and bring the Ellsworth name back to other sports other than wrestling and baseball.
