If Kyrie Irving is able to come back and his healthy enough to contribute at a high level in the Finals, then the series could definitely be competitive.

But as it stands right now, without him or without him playing anywhere near his full capabilities, Cleveland has no chance. All they're doing right now is playing LeBron Ball 101, which is letting him play isolation basketball each time down the floor and giving him the green light to penetrate or kick the ball out for spot-up threes. As has been demonstrated at numerous points in his career, that style of offense doesn't work once you get to the upper echelon level teams in playoff basketball.

I'm not complaining about LeBron, I'm making a commentary based on reality, as he does this "injury" stuff at the end of games like last night for dramatic purposes far, far too often...and, not by coincidence, these "injuries" happen on plays where he makes a boneheaded turnover or completely biffs an easy shot at the rim, as was the case last night. He sat on the ground and pouted after a turnover where he thought he was fouled while Atlanta went back with a 5-on-4 advantage but, in true Eastern Conference trash team form, failed to capitalize. But, being the "warrior" that he is, he was able to muster up the strength and courage necessary to put Kent Bazemore and his Hawks squad away in OT. []

And LMAO @ mentioning LeBron in the same breath as Curry for being outstanding in these playoffs, he's been hot garbage heaving up bricks and turning the ball over a ridiculous amount. Cleveland is where they're at right now because the supporting cast guys like JR Smith, Iman Shumpert, and Matthew Dellavedova have been unconscious collectively from behind the arc and Tristan Thompson has been devouring the offensive boards and getting the team extra possessions these past six games.

The way they're playing is good enough to beat teams who go into offensive comas where they can't score from the field for stretches hovering around half a quarter, but they and the LeBron fans are in for a rude awakening when they go up against Golden State. Cleveland gives up a lot of clear looks at the basket that putrid shooting teams like Atlanta and Chicago can't capitalize on that Golden State connects on in their sleep.

TBH I've been kind of disappointed by these playoffs. The Spurs-Clippers series was great, and Curry and LeBron have been outstanding, but I wouldn't be surprised if GS sweeps the Finals and the rest of the series have been something of a letdown to me.

That's probably because half the "playoff" teams in the East couldn't win the NCAA tournament. And in the West, the 2 most formidable threats to Golden State both played each other in the 1st round, with the unlikely winner (the Clippers) absolutely choking against a Houston team that has no business playing in the Western Conference Finals.

I can't remember a time when (a) the playoffs were this bad, and (b) both the East and West champions were so completely untested heading into the NBA finals.

I wouldn't be surprised if Golden State swept the Cavs in the finals, but at the same time I wouldn't be surprised if Cleveland won in 6. Either way, I couldn't care less.

Shocked ESPN would put out such a graphic, as it does not coindice with their 24/7 LeBron hyping agenda.
