I am sticking with my earlier pick. No matter how things have started I firmly believe that when the smoke clears Aaron Jensen will emerge as the player of the year in the valley 8.

i don't know though the way the stats have looked so far aj has not been looking good he has not scored over ten points yet other players in the confence liek meltz had 22 or something and smudde had a 23 game and is averaging 18 so far there are other guys who can contend for it

there are many other guys who have a shot at it tho many guys did not have that slump at all and can contend with him

As of Right now, Logan Rathjen has shown me the most overall. Logan does it all for the Comets. AJ took a beating in football and is about 2 weeks away from being in TOP basketball form,IMO. Its way to early to predict, but just scoring points doesnt tell the whole story. If Meltz doesnt do it for the Bears it really doesnt get done and he plays in an offence that will shoot the ball 70+ times a game. So points are easy to come by. Just my opinion.

It sounds like you are contradicting yourself. You go from saying if "Meltz doesn't do it, it won't get done" to saying "points are easy to come by."

If points are that easy to come by, shouldn't someone else from Hortonville be able to score 20ish if they are that "easy to come by."

Just an FYI, looking at Hortonville's stats from last year, they attempted 538 shots in 19 games, for an average of 28.3 shots per game. That is a far cry from "70+ times a game."[]
"Let's Play Two!!!"

Against Waupaca they shot 17-60 28%, 1-7 14% from FT . And from what I was told thats the "NORM" for this years team. So I was wrong on the 70+ shots, But yet I was close they shot the ball 60 times. While the Comets were 13-41 31% shooting, 21-32 65% FT and outrebounded H-Ville 37-28. And Remember this is a Comet team still really in practice mode while playing games. 1 more week and the Comets should be alot better.

One conference game in and we are talking POY?
In capitalism man exploits man, in communism it is just the opposite.

like bballfan said...its little early to be talking about POY...but there are alot of good players emerging in the conference and it should be an interesting year. Even though i am not from Waupaca i believe that Justintyem is correct about Waupaca still being in practice mode. They have had less time to click as a team as the other teams have had becuse of their state championship(congrats by the way). Good luck to all teams and players
Waupaca now getS a whole week to work on some things before their next game. Look for a much improved offense out of the Comets against the Freedom Irish next tuesday @ Waupaca. The Comets have yet to have a complete week of practice without a game or something else going on to interupt them. This could be a huge week of practice for them to work on things.
