Rob Hernandez of the WSJ picks the Barneveld boys to finish second in the state:
Division 4 If Randolph stands up to the Division 4 competition the way it did to St. Paul (Minn.) St. Bernard's in its "Border Battle" loss last month, the Rockets will soar to their fifth state title in six years.
But Randolph will want to keep an eye on Barneveld and senior Nick Allen. He'll let it fly from anywhere in the Kohl Center and band director Phil Zell has video - of Allen's amazing 70-foot shot that beat Dodgeville at the WBCA Holiday Classic - to prove it.

State tournament field: Lena, Barneveld, Abbotsford, Randolph.

State final: Randolph 51, Barneveld 49 (with Randolph's Dan Tillema blocking an Allen halfcourt shot at the buzzer).

Dennis Semrau of the Cap Times picks Barneveld to win it all:
DIVISION 4

Randolph had its streak of four straight state titles snapped a year ago by Burlington Catholic Central in the sectional finals. But the top-ranked Rockets are ready to resume their drive for five titles - in six years - beginning tonight.
However, keep an eye on Barneveld, which has a 19-game winning streak. The Eagles' double-figure scoring trio of Kyle Thompson (15.5 ppg), Nick Allen (13.7) and Trent Sullivan (13.3) could ground the Rockets in the state finals.
State semifinals: Suring vs. Barneveld; Abbotsford vs. Randolph.
State finals: Remember Allen's 70-foot plus heave that stunned Dodgeville at the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association Classic in December?
You don't?
Well, get ready to see him try it again - this time for a gold ball: Barneveld 56, Randolph 53 at the buzzer.

Barneveld will not make it to state!!!! They played in a very, very poor SRE conference and are not as good as they're record shows.....
