Post-game after the Packers are done is my favorite time to surf on this site. I continue to be amazed at the number of self-qualified head coaches, offensive coordinators, and general managers that we have right here in Wisconsin. Who knew that it was such a hotbed of talent.

If you fired Mike McCarthy right now he would be hired again by another team by Tuesday. It's that simple.

It's the neuroses of being a fan. Of course we all look like idiots sometimes when you look back on things.

But thanks for the groundbreaking discovery.

How about that Packer D only giving up 14 points and posting the 2nd half shutout! Fingers crossed for a Rodgers return in big D!

Felt exactly the same way.

Absolutely moronic to run wide three plays in a row at that point in the game and in those field conditions; with a HB nursing a tender ankle no less. Not only that, but you're also setting yourself up to have Atlanta stop the clock by forcing the runner out of bounds if the play gets stretched out wide enough, which came close to happening on third down.

I have no idea why they insist on running those zone-type down-the-line runs with Lacy.

Any yards they get on those calls are solely on the back of Lacy, but they are not really his strength.

I could stomach another year with Capers as long as I was guaranteed that the zone scheme would be scrapped and James Campen would be fired.

My understanding is that the zone scheme has been scrapped already. The O-Line is just consistently bad.

By the way, ProFootballFocus gave Lacy and Perry the highest grades on the team yesterday, which is great. They have Perry ramping up on QB pressures and Lacy 5th in the league in broken tackles forced.

What a great day for the Packers, though. Last week it wasn't clear whether they should sit Rodgers. Now, if Rodgers comes back, it is completely possible they can jump over the Lions and make the playoffs.

Was not expecting to be at the game but my uncle had a ticket for me and I was up at the game for my first December Packer game. However a usual two hour drive up turned into a four hour slog home with the weather.

This win probably sent a jolt through a team that got absolutely embarrassed by Detroit a week earlier. I thought they were cooked after that freak pick-six (which my uncle said that the guy intentionally kicked the ball) but they kept at it and wore down Atlanta's offense in the second half. They could have put the game away without another defensive stand after they forced a turnover on downs but I feel that Lacy could've busted a move to create a hole but he managed to stay inbounds all three runs.

It wasn't a pretty win but for a club that looked rudderless the last five games it was a much needed one. Maybe Rodgers will be back for Dallas but we still have something to play for.

Also shout out to DB for getting a tweet read by the 620 postgame show.

Still running a lot of zone scheme runs though...which, if the scheme has been scrapped, make no sense to run since instead of cuttling the defense and getting them on the ground, the lineman try to engage the defense, thus creating a wall of humanity in front of a sideways-moving ball-carrier. []

Talk about flawed.

I wish I was a fly on the wall for that halftime. Whatever happened in there may be MM's finest hour as a head coach all things considered.

Listening to McCarthy's post-game comments (he was so fired up he dropped a "bull S" on a hot mic), it seemed the team took getting booed (which was three weeks late, IMO, as I stated when it happened) going into halftime very personal. Their second half response was telling.

All that said, do NOT expect Rodgers to play Sunday. Heard quite a few doctors opine that people don't understand how important it is for a collarbone to heal properly, as there are a lot of serious maladies that can occur if not set properly or re-injured. So unless he's gets a 100% clean scan, expect more Matty Dead Arm.

I was at the game (still can't feel my big toe[] ) and everyone in our section questioned running the ball 3 straight times, especially sideways like they did. Mastay's punt saved the game and made it difficult for the Falcon's, but the defense had to rise to the occasion, and they did.
I was impressed with how the team responded in the 2nd half. The defense had renewed energy and pressured Ryan. I thought Hyde did well playing the slot corner position. Jolly played like a beast. Offensively, Lacy ran hard and got tough yards. Quarless had some nice catches and I thought Flynn's decision making was much better in the second half.

For a first, live Packer's game, this was a fun game [] It is amazing how different the game is live, versus watching it on TV. It was cool seeing things develop that are not always captured on tv. Cool experience.

This gives me hope that when I have family from California in town that the Pittsburgh game we have tickets for will mean something.
The Brewers will finish 90-72 and earn the #1 WC berth.

Carlos Gomez will have a 30/40 season (HR/SB) and win a 2nd Gold Glove en route to an All Star selection.

Kenny must never see blog comment sections or radio call in shows, because if this is the place amazes you because of meat head self coaching fans, those places are like Walmart at 2:00 am after a $5 dollar all you can drink night.
