It is going to be very tough again, but I think Dallas did a great job of building an even stronger team. The additions of Austin Croshere, and Devean George were good moves. George replaces the loss of Marquis Daniels and will be a sufficient back up to Howard. I think Daniels just took up a lot of room, Avery Johnson's one mistake last year was playing Daniels at the 2, which he is way too slow to defend. He got blown by so much by Wade in the Finals.

With that said, I agree that they won't get through the West when it comes down to it, Phoenix, the Clips, NO/OK, even Houston and the Lakers will be very strong.

Houston won't be strong. They're always supposed to be strong but they never are. They haven't added anything to get better either. The Rockets just can't put the pieces together and they need to fire Van Gundy.

If they are healthy the whole year they could be really good. Key word COULD.

Yeah, T-Mac's back needs to get better which is very tough to do. They did add Shane Battier (in an awful one sided trade) but he will start at the 3, which would move McGrady back to the 2. Alston running the point....the 4 spot should be very interesting this year, it looks as if Novak will be getting some significant minutes playing the back up role to Juwan Howard.

Yeah, but Juwan Howard is like 90.

Yeah Devean George is a key addition for the Mavericks with his ankle injuries and constant fouling of opponents in the most ill-timed situations.

Honestly, I feel that Dallas missed their one chance for a ring last season. The West is going to be so tough to get through again.
