The reason he got drafted where he did is because he's a winner, Bottom Line.

I don't get why the Bucks passed on Diener to take a guy who probably won't even make the team. I mean who is this guy fom Turkey?

This guy from Turkey is Ersan Ilyasov, he was projected to go in the first round in some mock drafts that I saw

Being an Orlando Magic fan, im pretty happy right now. I have always been a fan of Diener. People can rip on his size all they want. Jameer Nelson's size didnt stop him from doing very well last year. And to the person who asked why Orlando drafted him. The Magic drafted him so they could permantely switch Francis to the 2 spot and have Nelson and Diener share the point.

dont you think that lineup would get overpowered? i mean 3 guys at 6'2" or less would be adefensive liability, especially at sf spot

Not many of you "great basketball minds" on here though Deiner would be drafted this high, or even at all. Shame on you.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Deiner is the next John Stockton.

Yeah, I would not want Steve Francis at SG. Way undersized for the position... and yeah, I think if TJ could be a PG who averages around 15 points and 7-8 assists, that'd be solid. He just needs to develop a jumper, and I dunno about his D, but if he can prevent guys from shooting over him all day, then I'd be good with him. But as of right now.... he's got a long way to go.

Im not that convinced at the people that use size as an excuse for not doing that well. I can understand size would be a problem for some people, but not all. Last year, Francis played SG and Jameer played the point at the same time a few games, both players undersized. And yet, they made up for there size with their quickness. Also, Francis had a lot less turnovers playing the 2 spot. With Nelson getting more experience entering his second year, I think this two-player tandem will open a lot of eyes next season.

Congrats to Trav, the entire Diener family, and the Orlando Magic...

The Magic is getting a proven winner. Travis has been a leader and a winner at every level he's played at so far, I expect the same in the NBA.

Good luck!

PS- Get well Drake!

francis makes up for his size with quickness and vertical, anyone remember 2 years ago when he put up 40 on the suns and blocked the hell out of marion marion 6'10 huge vertical got his crap swatted by francis 6'1 (listed) who knows if thats his real height even....i would for sure put him at the 2 guard no matter who he has to guard he gets it all done

The Bucks need all the help they can get. Whether or not they've got Redd or Ford, or whoever else. I personally think Diener would have been a better pick than the Turk. People would have at least paid to see him play in Milwaukee.
