How nice would a Badger starting lineup be next season with Stone, Hayes, Dekker, Koenig and.........??? Showey perhaps

I have a funny feeling that redshirt freshman Ethan Happ will be in the starting line-up next season for the Badgers....

Wouldn't it make sense that if Stone was going to Wisconsin that he would announce it now as opposed to later? He would OWN the room(and thats a pretty big room) and probably even pull in many of the anti-parochial crowd with his "I'm staying at home " decision. At the other end of the spectrum, if he's going elsewhere he can avoid the boos raining down at the Kohl by playing it tight to the vest and announcing later.

Perhaps he'll announce while being interviewed after winning his 4th state title. A guy can dream right?

Diamond didn't drop any news on where he'll be heading in his post game interview.

I keep hearing more and more that he needs to get his ACT score up.

I've heard nothing from anyone whose opinion carries any weight on this stuff that says this is an issue.

I have heard it a lot from rumor-mongering types who really abuse their JSOnline commenting account though.

Who's right? Who knows? People want a reason as to why he hasn't announced yet, but the reality probably lies somewhere in-between indecision and ineligibility.

I just have a feeling it'll be on the state of Wisconsin. Something in my gut says he's playing out of state.

I felt the same as you. But at the tournament I heard it from a coach that I'd trust with my unborn children. So I'm starting to become a believer.

The previous thread on Diamond Stone which one can find here was closed when people began questioning his, and other high-school players, intellect. I thought Wissports shied away from the rumor-mongering such as "I heard it from a guy whose word is his bond bro"? Or does the fact Diamond attends a private school exempt him from common courtesy?

Once again if I posted something questioning how Tom Diener runs the Cedarburg Boys Basketball program my post would be deleted despite the fact I live here and have known every single kid on that team since they entered grade school and trust what they tell me.

You "adults" continue with your completely off-base bashing of an 18 year-old kid who has accomplished more in his short 18 years athletically than both of you combined ever will.

Fair enough, but I'm not sure you going down the same "people whose word is their bond bro" path of justification for your opining (Cedarburg/Dominican program at large) is really equitable either.

An 18 year old is an adult, not a kid. That isn't an opinion, that is the law, like it or not. If you are suggesting that there aren't people that know more about what is going on in Diamond Stones life than you, I hope you are his Mother or Father. It isn't out of the question for me to know one of those people that knows more going on in his life than you do.

I didn't question his intelligence, no matter how you want to spin this. There are plenty of extremely intelligent people in this world who have struggled with tests like the ACT. Stop trying to be a victim for him.

Regardless of public or private, he has CHOSEN this life for himself. He has put himself in the splot light. Time to get used to people looking over his shoulder. He is well on his way to making more in 1 signature than anyone on this board will make in a lifetime and that is BECAUSE people like us are talking about it.

It would just seem to me that there is no way this would be allowed to happen given the stable structure he has in his life and the fact that he's been basically getting ready for college the last five years...it's not like he's some late-bloomer trying to play catch-up on the court and in the classroom.

Mark Miller

Appears Diamond Stone is leaning toward joining late Greg Dandridge, Andy Kowske, Ray Nixon as Dominican grads to accept scholarship to WI.
