Well,
My dream came true.
We dumped the keepers of the unwritten rules!

1 game behind the Cubs.
Very big win for them last night.

Cubs @ Cardinals tonight.
Huge series for them.

So, tonight the Brewers throw the praying mantis, Zack Davies
The Tigers send.......Zimmerman(?)

Thrilling baseball this weekend.
Brewers take 2 of 3, Cardinals take 2 of 3 we are playing Monday at Wrigley.

"Who'd of ever thunk it?"

RK,

The Cubs / Cards game is this afternoon, not tonight. Then I think they have the two nationaly televised games this weekend: Fox tomorrow afternoon & ESPN Sunday night baseball.

I get to go to tonight's game. Pretty pumped to be one of the relatively few to say they've been able to see a clinched Brewers playoff team play in person. Looking forward to the hopefully electric atmosphere!

Actually it is this afternoon, so the Brewers will know before they even take the field if a win ties them for the lead with two games to go or a win is needed in order to stay just one game back....  Same goes for tomorrow as well with the Cubs starting at noon while the Brewers play a night game.

My bad on game times.

Never the less, Brewers need to sweep the series.
I think that would get the tie.

Frankly, not that concerned.
Lets get the WC @ home and win 1 game.

Then play the Cubs in a series.
I like that scenario.

God, I love this game!

All MLB games on Sunday are afternoon games.

I am glad to see the Brewers proved me wrong. Will be nice to see the Brewers in the playoffs again. Boy, it would be nice to see the Brewers actually win the division outright. Probably 50-50 that they do that though. It will be nice to see CC in the playoffs again for NY. If St. Louis can sweep the Cubs, they 'probably' get the 2nd wild card spot. Very iffy though!

Kershaw is scheduled to throw on Sat Sept 29th. That may be good if the Dodgers snare the 2nd wild card spot. I doubt the Dodgers would throw Kershaw on 3 days rest. Probably going to see Hill or Ryu if that scenario happens. Never know though - Kershaw may well(and probably will) come in to relieve in the wild card game should the Dodgers get aheard. Brewers probaby start Chacin IF the Brewers are in the wild card game on Tues Oct 2nd. Would have hoped it could have been Miley to be honest.

Is a playoff game needed if the Cubs and Brewers tie? I think that is what was posted on this board at one time - and where would they play it?

Correct, if they tie they play in Chicago Monday.

Personally, I'd love to see the Cardinals come to Milwaukee Tuesday, kick their asses then play Chicago in the series.

No Sunday night baseball this week.... All 15 games start within 30 minutes of one another.

The Pirates went into Wrigley and won two out of four from the team with the best record in the National League. Between that and losing two out of three to the Brewers over the weekend, I'd say the Pirates helped the Brewers out quite a bit!!!

From the guy who banged on about how great Williams has been only for him to lose yesterday...😉

Not his fault he got Bote'd just like the Nationals!!! ðŸ˜‰

Anyway he just happened to run up against a veteran pitcher in Lester who knew what was on the line and was out-pitched. The three runs he gave up would likely get his team a win more often than not.
