Brown deer is pretty stacked depth wise and really good. ET beat river valley in sectional final, who one game earlier took out dodgeville, who I believe was ranked #1 in D3 at some point during the year. One game earlier ET beat lake mills who was ranked at one point and they beat marshall, a team which was ranked all year long. So poynette can cry all they want, just wait who did ET play last year in sectional semi.......wait, BROWN DEER, losing by 3 to the eventual state champs. Everyone would like their team to get placed in what they see as an appropriate sectional, but in the end you have to beat whoever is in front of you. Stop whining. One last little tidbit for you all to chew on,.................2013, ET beat Brown Deer in the sectional final to earn a trip to madison. ET has been there done that, worry about playing the game and stop politicizing.

Dodgeville was never ranked #1, they were never ranked at all I don't think. East Troy's road to state was considerably easier than Brown Deer's.
The Packers/Badgers/Brewers are like your children; you don't love them because they're good, you love them because they're yours.

You are correct about dodgeville, I guess I mixed up them winning their conference over river valley with a ranking. Brown deer beat some good teams to get to state but to say ET got their cheaply is just plain stupid. My point was ET has had to play BD also, won one lost one, but are not bitching about it or saying they should have been in different sectional

Was fortunate to be at court side during the game. Brown Deer - obviously a very, very good team. No question about it. And also completely classless. Trash talking, condescending, jerks. Makes it hard to root for them - the saving grace for them is that they are a public school playing a private school for the championship. To reiterate - they are very, very good and have been the best team in Division III all year. Of course playing in a predominantly Division I conference helps them - duh. I just don't understand why they players have to act so boorishly. Sad and embarrassing for the players, the coach, and the school

What a finish in the Xavier vs East Troy game!!

East Troy is going to have a very long hour ride home.

Left home with a couple minutes left in the game and thought ET was up by 8 and it was over? What happened? Is there a replay available anywhere?

Some dubious coaching and then lack of execution and free throw shooting.

I would think coaches that run a great press would be a little frustrated that once you make state the playing field literally changes. You don't see this in any other sport.

Larger court makes it easier to break a press. right?

Xavier shot way too many 3s in the 1st half. Need to work it inside at least once in a while and then pop it back out for open 3s if there's nothing available inside.

Seems I was miscorrect, ET beat BD in 2013 sectional semi, still had to play them

The Xavier, East Troy game was won & lost at the FT-line. Xavier went 16 of 23 from the line while East Troy was 5 of 11, missing the front-end of several bonus opportunities.
