Whitewater INT, they just have to take a knee and this thing will end.

UW-Whitewater 27, Linfield 17

FINAL

I watched Linfield practicing on UW's indoor turf today for a little bit and I have to say that if Whitewater is anywhere near as good as they've been in the last 2-3 years they should crush this team. Our coach even talked with one of the older Linfield guys (probably not a coach but one of the guys that's on the sidelines for some other reason) and he kind of echoed the fact that Linfield was going to have their hands full. I know you can't always judge a book by it's cover, but half of these guys looked like they're fresh out of high school....very undersized.

Looks like it was not the "size of the dog"......gave WW a game.

i guess not. but WW either played a bad game or must not be as strong as the past few years or else they would have made easy work of this team.

I think this game was an exact replication of the game WW usually plays in the Stagg Bowl...they do a great job moving the ball...but when they get to the redzone they can't do anything...how many trips did ww have into the redzone today and didn't come away with points...very very uncharacteristic of the Hawks...also from what I heard (text message updates on the game) Coach L gave up on the run quite early because they were getting resistance?

if thats true that frustrates me...

ALSO...just a side note...the last time WW had a close semi-final game they went on the win the Stagg Bowl...in the 3 years they blew teams out they lost...MAYBE a good sign?

btw...if anyone watched the MUC game...their startin QB got knocked outta the game in the 1st qtr...they had their best athlete Cecil Shorts playing QB for them at the end...I think I heard somewhere that MUC completed 2 passes either after halftime or after their QB went out...IDK how true it was...but WW has to be salivating if thats the case...our pass defense is our weak spot...

I watched the game on tv and i did see that WW gave on the run once it became a close game in the third. The announcers which i can't stand kept saying how they need to run the ball and its one of the only things that they said that made sense.
WW played good enough to win today but they will have to play better to compete with Mt. Union next saturday.

Well looking good so far Coppage breaks one early for the score 7-0. If we can win the turnover battle we should have no problem today.

That should do it, congrats on another national title berth, Whitewater
