i just got to take a look at the rankings and comments...i think mark miller is spot on. the city conference is gonna be great this year. i know, i'm partial, but the king, whs, and hamilton are loaded. purgolders, though, are my team. and as mark points out, there starting five are sick:
winters (6'5)
williams (6-5)
macklin (6'7)
taylor and mayfield--one of the quickest backcourts in the state.....

i completly agree with u about washington and how their 5 is staight sick

but the same with king whos gonna score consistantly.

King lacks a true go-to scorer but I think arroyo edwards will evolve into one

but who is gonna step up for washington when winters gets in foul trouble. Macklin is streaky and is still very raw, mayfield is still young and terry taylor is just a 5'9 shooter

This is why Hamilton is the clear cut favorite and WILL WIN the state title. They got size Harris 6'8 cook 6'5) speed with crowder and lee. and they are soooo balanced offensively that if one is off one of the other 3 wont be.

Heres how it will go down in the city
1. hamilton
2. king
3. washington

King and Hamilton will win their sectionals

Milwaukee Hamilton is pretty much the odds-on favorite to win state (picture yourself two years ago at this time saying this and how ridiculous it would sound) due to their overall talent and depth (though the latter depends on the eligibility of Allen and Parks, and if everyone can stay eligible/healthy throughout the year, which was a problem for a few kids last year).

King is on probation from post season play so they will not be part of that sectional, making Washington the favorite to win the sectional.

Hamilton may win state but I have a feeling they will fall victim of having TOO much talent.

Arroyo Edwards will be a scorer this year. I am an alumni and played on the 2003 title team and have been working on with the team during the open gym session they were having. Edwards is a true athlete can make things happen. Needs to work on his jumper but we are working on that. Look out for Nic Stokes. Seems to have much more confidence than last year and was hitting deep 3s at the open gym sessions. Silas will be a formidable player on the block. The true test will be quality point guard play from either Marcus Kirk or Devon

im going to say pewaukee this year will b a very tough team to beat, simply because we have alot of really good shoters and two tall strong post guys, so i think they will put up alot of points this upcoming season
