This was inevitable, because of the locker room differences. I hope they will get Avery Johnson, who was a good coach for the Mavericks, taking them to the finals one time. They also have the most cap space, so i think in the next two weeks or so the Pistons will make big moves to be a power for next yr.

Pistons are now shopping Ben Gordon. I would blame Iverson and Joe Dumars for the firing becuase what Dumar's did by getting Iverson and what Iverson did to the team was the ultimate destruction of the Detroit Pistons.

It was more of a rift between him and Rip what did it. he continually played Iverson over Hamilton, so i dont think that he had much of a problem with AI. AI does not appear to have a future with the Pistons either, when they will probably unload his salary this yr or next to make room for the free agent class of this/next yr. I would not blame Iverson for all of that. The pistons were beaten the yr before in the conf finals, so we all knew they had to make a move or they would go down in flames, i think that the Iverson trade was as good a move as they could have made without knowing the ramifications. I thought they would need to overhaul and rebuild, but since they have so much money sitting around, they can afford to keep their stars Prince and Rip, plus signing other good players such as Hedo, Gordon, Charlie V, or Milsap.

I don't understand this at all, the Pistons are probably going to sign Ben Gordon, but where does this leave Richard Hamilton? They'll have the exact same situation as they did with Iverson.

If I were them I wouldn't have a problem with Gordon at point. It just gives you another scoring option.

playing gordon at point would take away from his scoring opportunities, and likely make him unhappy, as he often gets. also what would they do with AI if gordon is at point

What the hell? Why would the Pistons ever play Ben Gordon at the PG position?
1.) That's not his natural position. He's a pure scorer that does not have the skills to succeed at PG. He is great on the wing and that is where he will continue to play.
2.) The Pistons have Rodney Stuckey at their point with Will Bynum as a serviceable back-up. The future coach would play either of those at point before putting Gordon there.

Nevermind, I'm hearing Rip is going to get traded and a possible Hamilton for Tyson Chandler is very possible.

I feel sorry for whoever has to coach this team next year, they have a lot of talent to work with but unfortunately it doesn't compliment each other very well.
