How do you think the Cloverbelt East will finish this season?
I know I made a list somewhere else on this board, but I'm going to change it a little bit.

1) Colby...Return Rahm, Sebold, and Rechial, all of whom were all-conference last year. Also have a deep bench
2) Marshfield Columbus...Matt Iwanski leads Columbus he was all-conference last season. Look for Luke Boehining as well, he has a little hight.
3) Owen-Withee...Returns 3 starters including Weiler who was 2nd team all-conference last season. Also returning is Junior Ryan Kitzhaber and Senior Brier Bergerson. The question for O-W though is will Begerson's knee hold up the whole season as he hurt it during football.
4) Neillsville...Return Cain Trunkel who was 2nd team all-conference last season.
5) Greenwood...Didn't have a great year last year, but return a lot. Return three key players, Calvin Gregrich, Taylor Collinson, and Dustin Winkel. Not sure if Winkel will be able to play this year though as I heard he tore his ACL. Not sure on that one yet so I'm going to assume he plays.
6) Spencer...Lost just about everyone from last years squad. Maybe they finish behind Loyal, but I can't see them finishing above any of the other teams already listed.
7) Loyal...Also lost just about everyone and return no all-conference players. Look for Gordon Roedel to have a big year and Mike La Fave could have on as well.
8) Augusta...Chris Schmitt does not return. Is Christian Berry out this year? I know he quit last season. Always finish at the bottom, looks like it will be the same this year.
9) Granton...Lost 1st team all-conference player Stieboch and they still finished last in the conference last season. It was a toss up between Augusta and Granton, this could go either way but I'm going to stick with this.
A Playoff will be much more fair than the BCS.
No matter what happens, Rodgers GREATER THAN Favre.

Yes he did. He was a darn good defender too. My bad, I knew who I was talking about, just didn't get the first name right. lol.

agreed that it will be Colby at the top. Those kids just got done playing at Camp Randall in Madison and it wouldn't surprise me if they wound up playing at the Kohl Center too.

Yes, that run down of teams looks good to me.

1. Colby - return Rahm, Sebold, Reischel, the team is at least 10 deep
2. Mfld. Columbus - Looked good in summer league, Boehning will be all-conference
3. Owen-Withee - return solid players Weiler, Bergerson, Kitzhaber
4. Neillsville - Trunkel will lead team again, should have been 1st team last year
5. Loyal - return Roedel, La Fave and have a solid PG in Genteman
6. Greenwood - return Gregorich and Winkel from last year
7. Spencer - lost most of the team, but could still compete in the middle of the pack
8. Augusta - Doubts about top player again this year, looking to rebound
9. Granton - not much to say, hoping for a recovery

7-9 could be a toss up in how they finish.

How can you say Colby is 10 deep? They don't return 10 players from last years team.

Colby has 8 seniors and 2 juniors that will all get a good amount of minutes this year. Last year some of the ones that were on JV could have been up ahead of some of the seniors, but weren't because it was their last year. Now the Class of '09 is being reunited since they were split up after middle school when Rahm, Sebold, and Reischel played with varsity earlier in their high school years than the others. They also will be playing 2 juniors, both of whom are pretty decent players.

Yes, very true. I realize that. But I was just saying they were 10 deep in my predictions to state the fact that they will have a rotation that includes at least 10 players this season.
