Does anybody have any insight or information on the Charlie Chapman situation? I heard later in the summer that he was attending a prep school in North Carolina (Mt. Zion Christian Academy)..... What does this mean for his future/recruiting? Will he attend prep school again next year as a 5th year senior (a common practice among prep schools)?

There has been LOADS of stuff written about him in the Lake Country Reporter that can tell you whats up.

Set the Select Publication Date Range box at 2006. Use Chapman as the key word in full article.

Unfortunately they delete everything Charlie related so I suggest you search for yourself.

Check the September 19, 2006 article. That probably has some of the anwers you are looking for. In fact it says he is planning to go to a Junior College after HS.

really a sad story. I hope he can get his life back in order, the sooner the better!

If you read that article it says that he is allowed to practice with the arrowhead team but cannot play in games.

So the rumor (coincidentally posted on the FVS website in August) that he was going to Mt. Zion Academy in North Carolina had no truth to it?

I was amused by the WALK ON referance.

Perhaps she should just stick with law.

I may be wrong, in this day and age, but I always thought that you had to graduate from high school to consider college.

If I remember correctly Mt. Zion got into a bunch of trouble with the NCAA and because of it Chapman decided to not enroll. I could be wrong though.

Mt Zion was one of a group of prep schools that the NCAA is not accepting transcripts from.

These schools are cleared for use in the NCAA initial eligibility process only for prospects entering college in Fall 2006, and they are subject to future review.

These schools cooperated in the review process but the NCAA still has questions:                                 [ul]Alif Muhammad (Newark, New Jersey)Bonner Academy (Raleigh, North Carolina)Central Christian Academy (Winter Park, Florida)Florida Prep School (Port Charlotte, Florida)Genesis One (Mendenhall, Mississippi)Laurinburg Institute (Laurinburg, North Carolina)Lutheran Christian Academy (Philadelphia)Mt.
