Standings after Week 3

T1. kg19: 20-9
T1. thecrackerjack: 20-9
4. ash22themagnificent: 19-9
T5. capcon: 19-10

7. whfan202: 18-11

I don't think I've seen the standings this tight after Week 3. I'm OK with it, though - everyone is solidly in contention and at this point skill (and a little bit of luck) will have to separate the pack. Everyone either went 7-2 or 6-3 on the week; just 2 people took Mauston over Lakeside, and only 2 people tabbed Wautoma over New Glarus/Monticello; no one had both. Next week: conference play - but before we get to that, this week's schedule finishes the crossover games between the C-North and C-South and between the Capitol and South Central

Week 4 Schedule
Belleville (2-1) at Westfield (0-3)
Lakeside Lutheran (1-2) at Waterloo (1-2)
Lodi (3-0) at New Glarus/Monticello (1-2)
Luther Prep (1-2) at Cambridge (1-2)
Marshall (1-2) at Mauston (2-1)
Nekoosa (1-2) at Lake Mills (2-1)
Wautoma (1-2) at Columbus (3-0)
Wisconsin Dells (0-3) at Poynette (2-1)
8-MAN: Wisconsin Heights (2-0) at Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah (2-1)

Belleville at Westfield: At some point the Pioneers will win another game. This week won't be it, though. Wildcats by 21.

Lakeside Lutheran at Waterloo: I'm hard pressed to see where the South wins a game this season against the North. Warriors by 18.

Lodi at New Glarus/Monticello: No one will be able to say the Glarner Knights aren't battle tested for conference play. Blue Devils by 31.

Luther Prep at Cambridge: Maybe I spoke too soon - if the South is going to win a game against the North, it will be this one. Bluejays by 7.

Marshall at Mauston: This one should go to the hosts. Of course, they probably should have lost last week at Lakeside Lutheran, so a loss here wouldn't shock me. Golden Eagles by 16.

Nekoosa at Lake Mills: The hosts get a tune-up for conference play. L-Cats by 28.

Wautoma at Columbus: This might be the best test for the Cardinals before they open up conference play. That also might not be saying much. Cardinals by 32.

Wisconsin Dells at Poynette: Same goes for Dells as it does for Westfield - and in Week 9, one of the two will post a 'W'. Until then, ... Pumas by 35.

Wisconsin Heights at Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah: Good test for Heights on the road. I think. Vanguards by 12.

Belleville at Westfield - Going to be a haul for Belleville, but Westfield is struggling something horrible right now. Belleville won't be facing a test until conference.

Lakeside
at Waterloo - Lakeside lost a game they should have won, and they have now burned me three times this season. Waterloo Well, not sure what to think on them.... finally cobbled up a little offense in an awfully turnover filled game. I am taking Lakeside this time... if I go to 0-4 in games involving them, I may give up on them, haha.

NGM at Lodi - NGM has talent, a relatively good sized offensive line, but the schedule they run into conference play is always a doozy. Lodi rolls, but watch for a new and improved NGM team next week.

Luther Prep at Cambridge - I want to like Cambridge but the growing pains are real evident. If they can't get by Luther Prep, conference maybe a stretch, maybe playoffs too. I take them here though, with cautious optimism.

Marshall at Mauston - Mauston is looking to be a program getting back in the region of respectability, maybe even try and knock on the door for osme playoffs in the SCC. Marshall has been steamrolled by the North thus far, and only beat a Parkview team that stayed within a decent distance... not the blowouts of the past. If Marshall can't get by Mauston, it appears a long year could be in store. I'm taking Mauston .

Nekoosa at Lake Mills - Even though that Lake Mills got obliterated, it was to a very strong opponent. L-Cats will get, as import said, a tune-up to try and compete for playoffs this year.

Wautoma at Columbus - Columbus ought to not peek at the schedule looking ahead.... they still gotta play some games before the great war of Columbia County.

Wisconsin Dells at Poynette - If the lights don't fail, watch for Poynette to roll here.

Wisconsin Heights at Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah - If WH continues to play good defense like they have been, it'd be a huge win, arguably as much as the first win against NEW... seeing EL_G's high powered offense. I'm taking Heights to win a huge road game by 10

Week 4 Schedule
Belleville (2-1) at Westfield (0-3): Westfield was a solid team a few years back.

Lakeside Lutheran (1-2) at Waterloo (1-2): Lakeside looks a tad better at this point. Loo can't hold on the ball.

Lodi (3-0) at New Glarus/Monticello (1-2): Over by half.

Luther Prep (1-2) at Cambridge (1-2): Toss up.

Marshall (1-2) at Mauston (2-1): Toss up. Mauston looks better than advertised. Marshall is still a mystery.

Nekoosa (1-2) at Lake Mills (2-1): Not sure on Nekoosa. Mills looks a playoff contender despite the drubbing Darlington gave them.

Wautoma (1-2) at Columbus (3-0): Battle of top contenders in their league.

Wisconsin Dells (0-3) at Poynette (2-1): Dells can't hold onto the ball.

8-MAN: Wisconsin Heights (2-0) at Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah (2-1): Toss up.
