Being in the top 5 all year and getting 30 wins is mediocre? And don't say they're mediocre because they lost in the 2nd round, 1 and 2 seeds get upset all the time, that doesn't mean they were mediocre. Upsets happen in the tourny.

I wasn't talking about this season as a whole. The Badgers seem to be "growing" every year, but have nothing to show for it what so ever, except a couple Big Ten titles. They are far from elite.

Alright, I get you now, my bad

They have nothing to show for this 30-6 season except a 2nd round exit.

Well ... and the 30 wins.

The reason I'm such an anti-Wisconsin/Bo Ryan person is because I don't see how you can let in-state talent like Jerry Smith, Carl Landry, Wesley Matthews, and Kyle Weaver get away from you in recruiting if you're the major state university. I know that every player can't "fit" into the sacred system but for crying out loud, what kind of system are you running with Krabbenhoft, Chappell, and Bohannon? A retard shop

Setting aside the fact you're a jerk for using the word retard like you are (I'll gladly accept my banning for saying that) ...

Jerry Smith-UW offered 2 schollies to Smith, Bohannon and Hughes, said the first two to accept are Badgers; UW would have been thrilled getting any two of those three
Carl Landry-was recruited by nobody in the Big Ten out of HS; had academic problems, IIRC; I apologize if I'm wrong about the latter; he played well at a JUCO, IIRC, and had a great career at Purdue that not a lot of people saw coming
Wes Matthews-Wanted NO part of UW through no fault of Bo Ryan or anyone in the program; having both parents as former UW athletic stars, he wanted to make a name for himself elsewhere; UW never had a prayer
Kyle Weaver-I don't know about

It's also convenient that you came up with a whopping list of four people while ignoring the fact Ryan/UW has gotten in-state kids Devin Harris, Mike Wilkinson, Brian Butch, Trevon Hughes, Marcus Landry, Greg Stiemsma, Keaton Nankivil, Tim Jarmusz ...

A horrible post in a lot of ways, MBC. Too bad. I used to think better of you. I'm sure you don't care, to stop that response before it comes. I'm just saying.

And the expectations of this possibly being a national championship team thrown out the window.

It wasnt one of the best ever? How many records did this team break? Highest preseason ranking, highest regular season ranking, probably around the most wins ever and probably the highest seed ever (I really have no idea but this year was the highest they were ever ranked so im going to assume they have never had a two or higher seed). Theres probably a lot more too.
Want some french cries with that whamburger?

Yeah, I actually meant to clarify that as in expectations of a national championship going into the tournament. Wisconsin truly showed how vulnerable they were with other top seeds.
