Thanks for the input. That's why this research is a continual process, with ever changing info.

2002-05: Hans Block (24-18)
1996-01: Steve Gerber (21-27) (missing 2001)
1969-95: Don Dalton (202-57-1)

Just found a reference to Coach Gerber, and it has them there from 1996. He had a young quarterback who was a Junior that year.............by the name of Tony Romo.

Can anyone track down that 2001 record ? Wonder how much farther back the program goes.

That dude was pretty good...I heard he was getting paid to play football somewhere down south.[8D]

Ok. Revised list:

2002-05: Hans Block (24-18)
1996-01: Steve Gerber (24-33)
1969-95: Don Dalton (202-57-1)

How about before Coach Dalton ?

why dont you just email the athletic department? i'm sure they have all that info

You haven't researched such numbers before, I am assuming. It is less than 1 in 1000 athl depts I contact around the country that have numbers back beyond the current coach, or the last 10-15 years. Same goes for most newspapers as well.

Actually it's not that the info isn't there somewhere (i.e. archives, past yearbooks, etc), but rather that the project ranks low on the totem pole for most schools.

Once in a while it's that easy (I always try), but it may be the booster club, a retired coach, an old time sports reporter, etc, that provides the missing info.

Well I was at a Burlington game a couple of years ago when they moved to thier old facility and the current athletic director listed off the records and years of all their coaches, so he knows the info.

You're right on the mark. Just off the phone with AD Burling. He doesn't have it right at hand, but thinks he can put it together. Very nice fellow. Of course, wanted to talk about Romo !

Anyways, once I secure info, will post further here.
