Badgers dug themselves too big of a hole in the 1st half, rallied in the 2nd half, had opprtunities in thr final 5 minutes, but just could not catch a break in this one.

A full strength Sparty is a tough matchup for Bucky.... Add the fact that Bucky stunk it up from the field in the first half, and you had a deficit that was too hard to overcome despite the fact that they played better in the second half.

The optimist in me looks at it this way.... Played two games and didn't suffer any injuries. Gonna be full strength entering NCAA tournament as a #3/#4 seed and Franky seems to be playing with more confidence than at any other time during his career.

Gotta like how Bucky played in the 2nd half. Valiant attempt at a comeback. Poor first half was insurmountable. Add in MSU was unconscious from deep and you get what you had there.

Now to what really matters, no stinkers from here on out.

A full strength Michigan State is a scary team. They were unconscious in the first half from field and coming back from 21 down to Sparty is a near impossibility. Bucky played a solid second half after getting embarassed in the first. Hopefully, they learned a lesson today and bring a 40 minute effort every time out in the NCAA's.

Obviously, all of the talk about a #1 seed should be finished now. In fact, with the loss today, a #3 seed becomes a real possibility. I'm holding out hope for a #2 seed, but in reality I don't see a lot of difference between a 2 and a 3, as both are set up to play each other in the Sweet 16 with the winner advancing to the Elite 8, hypoyhetically. I don't think UW will fall to a #4-seed, although that was a distinct possibility had they lost to Minnesota Friday night.
