The Bucks have traded Malik Allen to the Nuggets for Sonny Weems and Walter Sharpe.

Sonny Weems is a talent. A 6'6" SG who can dunk with the best of em' (won the NCAA 2008 Dunk Contest) and can get hot from behind the arc. I saw him a bit in summer league and he's got a really quick first step, but as Karl says in the article, "he needs to find out how to put it all together." Walter Sharpe probably won't make the team, if he does he'd be the 12th man.

I think this really solidifies our frontcourt. Mbah A Moute and Bogut to start, Ilyasova and Kurt Thomas off the bench with Amir and Elson as emergency backups. This also could be a pre-cursor to a Charlie Bell trade. We'd have Redd, Meeks, Weems and Bell as our SG's, that's a bit of a logjam.

Weems will most likely be cut as his contract is 100% non guaranteed, Sharpe on the other hand is 100% guaranteed, so he will most likely be kept on the team in a Damon Jones like role.

Both are owed around 435,000, So if the Bucks Keep Both its a nil trade, if the Bucks cut Weems they save about 400,000, if they buy out Sharpe they can save a little more.

Gives the Bucks a bit more wiggle room in signing Sessions to a full MLE.

Or that happens which is a much better situation.
