This is just a thought, you may criticize as much or as little as you would like. How about trading michael redd and another player (preferable gadz or ridnourt) to houston for Tracy McGrady? McGrady's contract comes off the books after this year, which would put milwaukee, after the RJ trade under the cap by millions of dollars. I know they may not bring an elite player in, but it would give them a start to rebuild from scratch and bring in players that fit what they want to do with milwaukee. mcgrady does bring star power when healthy. By making the trade houston also gets another elite 3 point shooter to spread the court.

Milwaukee starting lineup if trade was made and bucks resign only sessions:

Sessions
McGrady
Alexander/Luc
Alexander/free agent stop gap or draft hill or blair
Bogut

May not win as many games next year but will help the rebuilding phase the bucks desperately need to do now. Otherwise with Redd's age 2-3 years from now we will have to rebuild anyways.
watcha thinking about that

I agree with trading redd but instead of an expiring contract id rather get young players or draft picks. You touched on the fact that we won't be able to bring in big free agents and that is why i don't think getting an expiring contract will help. Yeah we can rebuild from scratch but we don't get anything to help us rebuild.

what about mcgrady and landry for redd, ridnour, and throw in (swap of 2nd round picks for future year or someone like elson)

bucks could land a PF and also get cap flexibility.

Rumor is that mcgrady, aaron brooks and landry for barbosa and amare could be a possible deal. Good move for houston, if the trade were to work out.

As talked about in another topic Tracy McGrady doesn't have the leadership to lead a team and does bad come playoff time. I once thought so T-Mac would be a good choice but after doing research it's not worth it if the Bucks have playoff asperations.
