Probable starters in this year's upcoming MLB All-Star game, former Brewers Lorenzo Cain & Alcides Escobar, along with A.L. All-Star manager and former Brewer manager Ned Yost, pay a visit on the Brewers & Miller Park for a 2-game set Monday & Tuesday June 15-16, before heading west to Kansas City for 2 games Wednesday & Thursday 6/17 & 18.

Probable Pitchers:

Monday
KC: Edinson Volquez (RHP), 5-4, 2.99 ERA
vs
MIL: Kyle Lohse (RHP), 3-7, 6.27 ERA

Tuesday
KC: Chris Young (RHP), 5-2, 2.25 ERA
vs
MIL: Matt Garza (RHP), 4-7, 4.80 ERA

Wednesday
MIL: Mike Fiers (RHP), 3-6, 4.04 ERA
vs
KC: Joe Blanton (RHP), 0-0. 1.80 ERA

Thursday
MIL: Jimmie Nelson (RHP), 3-7, 4.60 ERA
vs
KC: Jeremy Guthrie (RHP), 4-4, 5.79 ERA

Gotta love those Brewer starters' W-L records and ERA's []

Brewers starter Kyle Lohse gives up his 16th HR of the season to former Brewer Lorenzo Cain in the top of the 5th inning. Royals up 5-0.

Since July 1 last year, the Brewers are 55-88, that is a .384 winning percentage. I don't understand how anyone on this team can be deemed not available for trade.

I'm with you at this point. I still like Segura a lot, but wouldn't cry if he was traded away. Same with Gomez and Lucroy. I think we're stuck with Braun.

Royals 8
at Brewers 5

Final Score

Brewers plate 3 runs in the bottom of the 9th, leaving runners at 2nd & 3rd with nobody out ... but Braun strikes out, swinging at ball 4, Lind lines out to a leaping Escobar and Aramis Ramirez flys out to end the threat & the game. Milwaukee also stranded runners at 2nd & 3rd in the 3rd inning with 1 out .... Lucroy lined out & Braun grounded out. Not exactly the formula for winning games.

While watching bits and pieces of the game last night, there sure seemed to be a lot of Royals garb in the stands. Would guess that half of the city of Clintonville was there last night supporting Royals 3rd Base Coach Mike Jirschele.

Here is a nice article I came across this spring that recaps Jirschele's decision in last year's World Series.

Btw-For anyone who watched the entire game last night, was there any mention of Jirschele and his Wisconsin connection?

Didn't listen to the game, but reports of Uecker being "out of sorts" must mean the score was given regularly and there weren't any stories about Chuck in Grafton or Bill in Wrightstown..... Probably one of his better broadcasts in a few years!!!

In all seriousness though, I hope Uecker is feeling better today!!!

Actually think it was single, single, home run....

Escobar was thrown out at second trying to stretch a single into a double to leadoff the game.

The last time the Brewers swept a series was last August 15-17 out in Los Angles against the Dodgers. They have now gone 33 straight series with a series sweep. That is an incredible run of ineptitude.

My bad, correction made.

Garza exits with 2 outs in the 7th, down 6-0, allowing 13 hits. KC's pitcher, Chris Young, even has a couple hits and 3 RBI's.
