I don't get what is so wrong about Sutton proposing questions like that to Bill.

Not everyone that tunes into games is a hardcore fan that knows a lot about baseball.

I see nothing wrong with it. I also think it's nice for the younger kids who enjoy to watch baseball and are just learning the game (afterall, baseball now for our younger kids seems to have become all games, little fundamentals). Perhaps a kid (or adult) will learn a thing or two.

Maybe it wouldn't have been that bad if he didn't do it every single game. There was literally a 100% chance of Daron talking about Capuano's pick-off move every single time someone got on first base in his start. Come up with some new material. It's like he found some stats and then decided to use those exact same ones the whole season. I was one of the biggest Daron haters of them all. I thought his approach to broadcasting was horrible. Just because you get excited doesn't mean you have ability. He was such a homer that it detracted from his broadcasting. And if you say thats how it should be, well why is it that the only other broadcast crew that is that big of homers are the Chicago White Sox guys and those two are the worst in all of baseball. It gets to the point where you can't even watch if you aren't a fan of that team. You get tired of the BS he shoves down your throat that is not true. He says all this stuff that has no backup, and uses information that nobody else uses cause its useless. He loved the "quality start" when if you ask any other knowledgable baseball person they'd tell you that a quality start was crap. If you got a quality start every single time out, you'd have a 4.50 era. Thats no good unless thats your 5th starter. He made the games terrible to watch and I for one could not be happier to see him gone.

Who is for?having Bob Uecker do radio and tv at the same time? [:-]

I'd surely be for that! I am one of those who also turns the tv volume down and turns on Uecker!! Nobody better!

Two points for you! []

same here, i put on the 620 and mute the tv broadcast.

I may be wrong, but I doubt it "I do have one question: Have you ever seen Gollum, John Clayton and Sam Cassell in the same place before?" - Charles Barkley
