Bronson Koenig is all he was advertised to be. Will be interesting to see where he rates in Mark Miller's class of 2013. Top 3 likely. I was talking to an MVC coach today who told me this kid is the most talented young kid he's seen in his many years of coaching in the MVC.

Matt Thomas has led Ona in scoring in the last 2 games. He's got an amazing stroke, and has shocked me with how he can score off the dribble on pull-ups and off catch and shoots on the perimeter. I thought he'd be more of a spot-up shooter. I was surprised, however, that Central attempted to post him up only one time. At 5'9 and about 125 lbs, I don't know why you woudln't try to capitalize. If he grows to be 6'4 like his brother, look out.

It appears to me that we have 2 of the state's top 10 freshmen right here in our conference.

It seems like Bronson will be a stud someday very soon. He clearly needs to get stronger if he wants to make a run at playing in a D-1 school, but thats expected.

I have heard that the Central freshman (Sawyer Smith?) is supposed to be good but hasn't suited up the last few games. Anyone know anything about him?

Sawyer is a very good athlete, but sitting on the bench at V level. He'll be good someday soon. Gotta include Vince Kube from Logan on this list of talented young players. 17 points, 12 in the 4th quarter to beat Aquinas last night.
