i would be super duper pissed if i was still in high school because it would cause a conflict with track. we could do what minnesota does and have girls and guys at the same time. that way our girls track would dominate

I don't see this happening. If anything is going to happen it will be like Kegs said with girls and boys playing in the fall. A lot of states do it this way and so does college so I think that may happen but I can't see any reason why they would move the girls to fall and the boys to spring.

the problem with having both at the same time is the lack of refs. wisconsin does not have a surplus of refs to ref both boys and girls games. plus there is already a lack of quality refs to begin with that would warrant wisconsin having both boys and girls at the same time. it is a good idea unless they make it boys only play on tuesday and friday and girls play monday thursday. i say keep it the way it is.

for those who say girls track would be much better if girls soccer was in the fall and guys in the spring but girls volleyball may hurt or girls soccer wouldnt get some of the better volleyball players out then...also then in the fall there would be better kickers/punters in football and more guys out for cross country. but guys track would be hurt by the lack of soccer players. some sport would have to take a hit.
watcha thinking about that

I don't think this would be a good idea. There's nothing wrong with the way it is and I think a switch would only cause confusion and certain sports would take a huge hit.

I also think switching things around would make year-round club soccer seem a little bit more appealing to a lot of people because for boys, the majority of major college showcases take place in the spring and summer, and also every other state that I'm aware of plays boy's high school soccer in the fall, and club in the spring.

I'm not in high school anymore but i personally would have loved this. I would have been able to play football in the fall and soccer in the spring. Track?? not one person on our soccer team was on the track team, we were all to busy playing club. Not to mention i remember playing on 4 inches of snow during the playoffs, this definitely would not have happened in the spring. Weather would be much better for the playoffs.?

Weather would be better come playoff time, but early in the season games are often have to be rescheduled. You're also left practicing indoors. There's times where when I played we didn't even get on the field before our first game.
If you were right, I'd agree with you

If I played for the FC Academy team this would really make me angry. Especially if I was Taylor Zyvaloski because that would take away from all my training time being a prime time keeper.

This should never happen. It would throw off all of Wisconsin's club soccer. Club is a lot better quality than high school. Almost all of D1 college recruiting is at club events. And how many football players would really play soccer if it was in the spring, and how many soccer players would play football...
