Trainer Freddie Roach:

"He was just 122lbs when we met and we won the title a month later. Who would have known that we would be fighting for the welterweight title one day? I would have told you that you were crazy. Now we are talking about 154, and you know what? We can beat Yuri Foreman and get his title."

Don't buy into what Freddie Roach says about wanting to fight Floyd, he is a snowball artist. He'll shoot his mouth off like that after the fight but what he won't say is that they'll only fight Floyd if Manny gets a 70/30 split of the purse like he's been demanding for so long. Floyd Mayweather is undefeated, untested, and was the undisputed #1 pound-for-pound fighter in the world for a long time... he doesn't have to lower himself to taking 30% of the purse against any fighter, let alone some fraud like Pacquiao who is moving up the weight classes. This fight will never happen if the Pacquiao camp thinks they're going to get a 70/30 split of the purse... 50/50 like Floyd wants and it'll be a complete murder in favor of Floyd.

As much as I don't care for boxing, I would say that Pacquiao would get smashed by Floyd.

He would get picked apart and embarrassed. His style of fighting is just tailor made to get himself dominated on the scorecards by Mayweather.

Comparing Pacquiao and Mayweather is like comparing the Lions and Patriots: Everyone knows who is clearly superior except a couple delusional die-hards.

Just remember....

On any given Sunday...........

Also, I still can't get into boxing because of the contract negotiations. Each fighter should be apart of a "team" of fighters with one major sponsor. That sponsor and the league they fight for distributes the money. If an event can make up to a $50M purse, good for the fighters. But each fight should be 50/50. It would keep the big fighters from fighting nobodies and keep the best matches in the ring.

The Brewers will finish 90-72 and earn the #1 WC berth.

Carlos Gomez will have a 30/40 season (HR/SB) and win a 2nd Gold Glove en route to an All Star selection.

I don't remember if it was freddie roach or GB promotions, but in the article I read thats what was predominently brought up, money. kind of sad when a championship matchup is based upon who gets how much, but it is what it is i guess.
