Jackson was good up until the final 4 minutes of regulation and then the entire 5 minutes of overtime, where he was absolutely atrocious. He definitely benefits from his daddy being a former 14 year NBA veteran because his basketball IQ is down there with the Smush Parker's of the world. You simply can't have a point guard with the "gotta get mine" attitude in the clutch when the game is on the line.

Wisconsin had Kaminsky matched up against a smaller defender down the stretch in regulation and Jackson wasted countless possessions overdribbling and killing any sembelence of ball movement. The other guys just stood around watching him dribble and dribble and dribble and I think him not involving anybody else in the offense had some impact in the other guys giving up offensive boards on the other end of the floor. He lulled his own teammates into a comatose state.

STFU Dawg.

You are easily the biggest tool on this forum. Wisconsin made its first Final Four in 15 years and the first thing you had to do was come on the internet and attack me. Safe to say your greatest moments in life are when I am wrong. That's a sad existence.

Pretty sure AA was just ribbing you dawg
I thought you understood getting ribbed
You 'attack' others the same way, yet cant seem to take it back
What you deem as attacking is simply someone giving you the berries

Please dont resort to the 'crayon cryin game' on this thread too

Suck it up and relax - no one is out to get you

You obviously are unfamiliar with our "relationship." He started a completely new thread just to call me out. If you think that's just "ribbing someone, you are more dense than I thought.

Get over yourself.
What did you expect. You took the weak platform that a coach with Ryan's credentials isn't great due to not winning one more game in a single elimination tournament. As if that one game is so much more important than the full body of work.
Some great people in sports just don't get the breaks. Some get more than one would think. It's just how it works.

FIFY....

Dawg said he was a good coach, just not a "great" coach.

Bo Ryan is a great coach regardless of if he would have won or lost on Saturday night. All the win did was possibly alter average fans and how they view him going forward. But anyone who watches basketball knows how good he has been at every level he has been at. When I think of the elite coaches in history...Rupp, Smith, Wooden, K, Knight, Boeheim, Pitino come to mind. Bo will never be able to be in that conversation unless he wins multiple National Championships or at least makes multiple final fours because of perception by the media. But could he coach with any of them...absolutely.

For the poster who was questioning how fans could call Ryan elite and then rip on him because he sticks with Trae Jackson...um you can believe a coach is elite and still not agree with every choice he makes. Show me one perfect coach, that makes all the right decisions. There isn't one. I'm sure that there are tons of Duke fans who revere Coach K but still question some of his decisions at times. Same probably went for every other great coach in history.

Honestly tough to fault Bo for not yanking Jackson just because he struggled down the stretch--he played pretty well and within his role for the first three games of the tournament, sometimes a PG just has a bad game. I think Bo sticking with Jackson has turned out pretty nicely so far in the tourney, even if he had one bad game against an excellent defense.
