Honestly, I didn't expect the BigTen to compete like they have this season. Usually, the things they they get ripped on for (Size, and strength) have given the teams from the SEC and Pac- 10 that are mostly skill and speed fits. Even in the losses, they have been competitive.

Does any one else think this might be the beginning of a turnaround for the BigTen in terms of being considered a eliete conference again?

Wisconsin's size completely DOMINATED Miami
Penn State's defense shutdown the LSU offense, and their offense did well considering field conditions.
Ohio State's defense completely neutralizing Oregon's high speed-power offense.
Northwestern, after practically giving the game away in the first half, they hung around and tied the game, and if it wasn't for Mason Crosby Jr. they would have shocked the Tigers.
Minnesota- Well, Minnesota is Minnesota.

I really think Iowa has a good shot with Georgia Tech, and with Michigan State taking on a Tech team in turmoil, I think the Spartans can do it.
A Playoff will not be any more fair than the BCS.

Michigan State hung around, but couldn't quite pull it off.
Iowa completely smothered the Tech triple-option offense.

All in all, the top 4 place finishers in the Conference looked dominant. I am really shocked that the BigTen did this well. Sure beats the 1-6 that happened last year.

With the teams doing so well, how does this bode for next year?

I honestly believe that the Big 10 is the second best conference behind the SEC. Really, all the Big 12 has is Texas, and they are sketchy at times.

Well the unathletic Big Ten just beat the #7, #9, #12 and #15 ranked teams including 2 BCS games. Of course douches like Pat Forde will fail to recognize this. Expect 2 more BCS appearances from the Big Ten again next year.

Are you saying that with high praise? Just asking... LSU's offense is pretty bad in general.

I didn't mean it as in LSU had an awesome offense, because they didn't, but they are dangerous when all was going well for them, and PSU limited what they could do.
