Idk a ton about incoming freshman but sophomores that can be expected to make an impact are Keone Moore from BD. Very athletic and good frame. Excellent athletic ability but sometimes doesn't hustle and can be undisciplined on the offensive end. Also expect PG Joziah Mallet to get significant time. averaged ~20 a game last year and very good ball handling and decision making. See how he makes the jump from frosh to varsity. The new coach at BD also will not be, atleast in watching his past coaching tenures, as strict as Novak was in making his players play within the system. Although his players will be disciplined, Bausch has always preferred a more fast pace, style of play, pressing when he can and keeping IT ON, something Novak often did not do and allowed teams to get back into games.

Considering what I've seen out of Novak-coached teams...this just sounds like more of the same...I mean, system? When did Novak run any kind of system in recent years? Unless "run around and jack 'em up" is a system...

I hear whitnall has a standout freshman in Stephen Pelkofer. He is Josh Pelkofer's little brother and Will Pelkofer's little cousin, but from what i hear he is supposed to be better than him. Due to injury he won't be playing a majority of the season but come next season when he's 100% look for him to establish his name in the woodland conference as one of the best players.

Stephen Pelkofer of Whitnall.

Great guard.
Younger brother of josh and cousin of will.

Supposed to be the best and final pelkofer.

Jared is the best Pelkofer.

In some regards, you can call it a system if you want. It is not as slow and methodical as say, a Slinger, but with the exception of last year when you had a PG in Farrington who would consistently push the tempo and look for easy backets or kick out passes to the wings, Novak has never traditionally got as much as he should out of his athletes. I'll agree with you that AT TIMES the team?had poor shot selection and could maybe be seen as undisciplined-a "run and jack it up offense", but that pace never carried over in the defensive side of the game-which is more of what i was trying to elude to. With the athletes that BD has traditionally had, a fast paced game makes sense. Bausch will apply that philosophy to BOTH sides and let his athletes make plays.

I would argue that Crawley was a better PG than Farrington, and just as fit to run the fast-paced game you allude to. ?

I do agree that Novak would inexplicably call of the press at times, be it a zone trap or man-to-man.?

As for the jack it up offense...it's hard to say they weren't last year with Wild and Washington firing at will. I know they tried to run swing at times but they were more apt to play the style that DB was referencing.

Doubt it.
Not for long.

Oops, of course by Jared I mean Jarrod. My bad.

And did you ever see Jarrod play? The other Pelkofers have some work to do to achieve what Jarrod did in high school, and in college as well. Heck, Abbey's career is nothing to sneeze at either.

Jarrod is the best until proven otherwise. So far Josh has not come close. We will have to see what Stephen does but Jarrod was an exceptional high school player.
Knowledge is good.
