A lot of times being a good defender isn't all about stats. You could average 3 steals a game, but you could get burned on back cuts 10 times a game. Is the player still a good defender because he overplays to get a few easy steals a game, while his own man scores constantly off his dumb defense.

He doesn't get that much pub, but Chris Wettstein from Roncalli was a big part of their state trip last year. Guarded Welch and Griffen in the sectionals.

I can't remember, did he guard Dekker from Sheboygan Lutheran too?

yea he did, and dekker is like 6'6" i believe and chris is only 5'11" and i am not positive on the stats on dekkers shooting percentage that game but im pretty sure these are accurate.. 8 for 23 attempts from the field including 3-11 from 3 pt. land and made 6-6 free throws for 25 points.. for all you math fans out there, total fg % = 34.78% and 3 pt. fg = 27.27%...

In D3, Steve Papke of La Crosse Aquinas is a tough defender and controls the paint.
