If I had to guess right now, I'd say that Royall takes both boys and girls conference crowns. Necedah and New Lisbon could take the other two spots in the top three for the boys, while Cashton and Hillsboro might take the other two top three spots on the girls side of things. I'm just going on scouting reports from a few local sources.

I saw Royall play in the summer (for boys) and they looked pretty good. Very guard dominated. How will Hillsboro do this year after graduating two of the best players in the conference? They had some good young players last year that were a little green, but still did well.

Hillsboro always seems to be that wildcard that comes out of nowhere when they don't have a "name" player. I honestly wouldn't be shocked to see them create matchup problems against Royall, NL and Necedah. They could crash the party and make a run for the title. Another team that could cause some problems would be Wonewoc, but they've been pretty inconsistent since they graduated Fulton.

Fulton was a player. I saw him play in high school and he was very good. Is he playing anywhere in college? It seems as if the conference is wide open this year. I think I'll check back in a month and see how well you fared on your predictions []

Hillsboro will do fine. I'm pretty sure they won't be "green" after the 5 sophomores from last year played significantly in that run to the Sectional Finals. That is some big game experience that will carry over into this year.

If you want to think of how Hillsboro will replace their top two scorers, then why isn't Royall in that question, also. They lost their top two scorers. It happens every year and people always replace them. SBC will come down to the Hillsboro vs. Royall game once again.

Hillsboro was up 24 to 22 at half. Just couldn't get some shots to fall at the end of the game. Viroqua has a really nice team!
