With winter sports wrapping up, what are everyone's thoughts on the spring seasons?
I will not apologize for being awesome.

Here's something to get us started.

For track, I don't really know as much as I'd like to, but it will be interesting to see if John McCann from New Lisbon can defend his state high jump title.

With baseball, I think we can expect Bangor and Royall to be orbiting somewhere near the top of the standings, with maybe New Lisbon and Necedah hanging with them, from there I haven't a clue.

And with softball, I've got nothin... maybe the New Lisbon girls can keep the success going and make a run for the conference title?

[pre]2008 Divison 3
1 John McCann 10 New Lisbon 6-08.00
2006 Division 2
1 Paul Annear 10 Richland Center 6-08.00
[/pre] That's some lofty company for McCann to be with. (for those that don't know Annear was the Track and Field athlete of the year last year) Good luck to him!
Well sir, while I may not agree with what you say, I'll defend to the death your right to say it.

Every thing is funner with a runner!

Cross Country. The 3 miles are easy, but the .1 really hurts!

According to what I have been hearing is that Bangor is having trouble even getting enough guys to go out which is quite rare for teams who have continuous success in one sport for so long, but I also feel Bangor will be lacking in the talent department this year, but maybe they'll surprise me like in football.

As for track, I would assume the Bangor girls will be in contention for a 10th (?) consecutive conference title, not really sure what the guys bring to the table though.

Softball, I heard Holzhausen has improved on her pitching which is a good thing since she was already a good pitcher last year, but not sure about the hitting aspect of the team.

I'll pick Royall for baseball, NL for softball...track will be trickier...Bangor/Cashton on the girl's side, and...boys? whoever won it last year-Hillsboro? should be the favorite...

wow its been a while sincei have been on here, and yes i know the season has started but its still young

for brookwood track boys they will have to rely on sophomore jimmy shephard the defending champ in the 100 and senior jessies pingel
girls sophomore amanda ross will lead the team and freshman alexis brandau and morgan touchstone could turn some heads

in softball losing senior anna flock will def hurt and must rely on senior sarah luing and junior leah hyatt to carry the team this year. i see a 5th place finish for the lady falcons nad my guess is new lisbon will win conference

as for baseball brookwood is young with really no one in the same spot as last year, junior austin vlasak and sophomore jordan ferries need to take over the rotation after the seniors from last year have left, they have looked good early in the year and there pitching will determine how far this team goes, getting senior athletes derek dreier and alex neumann out this year will help defensivly and speed wise, butch bruegggen could make a case for player of the year when its said in done this is how i see the confernce ending up

1) royall- returned EVERYONE from last years team
2) new lisbon- wyss could arguably be the best pitcher in the conference and other key returners help the rockets
3) hillsboro- with alexander pitching they in any game, question is can they score enough runs to help him?
4) brookwood- lost a lot of pitching expeiernce last year but 3 taltented seniors and 4 juniors with expierence could help brookwood over come young pitching
5) cashton- dickman is one of the top pitchers in the conference but fielding and hitting issues have always haunted cashton
6) bangor- could be higher, really the one team i dont no what they have as they really the only other team other then brookwood who was really hurt by graduation
7) necedah- with patrick roose MIA matt houseworth's arm must be relied upon more and i think necedah one year away yet from challenging the top
8) wonewoc center- kaus and thompson will hit but pitching by far the biggest question here.

i would have to go with royall for baseball

new lisbon for softball but wonewoc close behind

Track will probably be necedah with Hillsbro, wonewoc And Bangor close behind

Cashton takes home the Girl's Track Championship which ends Bangor's run of 9(?) straight years winning conference (Bangor finished second this year).

Hillsboro takes home the Boy's Track Championship. Bangor also placed second for guys.
